I have degenerative discs in my neck and wake up with a headache without a cervical pillow. Mine finally had to be replaced so I started searching for a new one. I found this one with good reviews. It has a different shape than I'm used to but thought I'd give it a try. I've been using it for about 4 nights and I'm so sore it's hard to even turn my head. I haven't had a headache but my neck, shoulder and upper back are very tight and sore. I don't know if I want to continue using it and see if it gets better but right now I'm thinking it's going to be returned. I'll search for one that has the shape I'm more comfortable with. This pillow arrives neatly vacuum-sealed and fluffs up to full-size almost immediately upon opening. I popped the pillow in the dryer, on no heat, for about 20 minutes to help ensure that it was fully fluffed before using it. Unlike some products that come vacuum-sealed, I found that this pillow had no off-putting odor, and no smell at all really. The pillowcase on this item is simple to wash and can be removed by unsnapping the three snaps securing the front and back of the pillowcase together, followed by unzipping the large zipper on the back. I ordered the gray colored pillow which has a silkier material on the top and a waffle-knit fabric on the sides and bottom. I found the exterior material to be soft and cool against my head and face, and I was relieved to find that the snaps in the middle of the pillow don’t touch your head enough to cause any discomfort. In addition to the comfortable exterior of the pillow, I also found the internal foam to be soft, without lacking in loft, while also remaining relatively cool throughout the night. One reason I selected this pillow is because it is a bit taller than similar options, and I prefer my head to be a little higher than many flatter pillows allow. This pillow was sufficiently thick to keep my neck aligned, while also ensuring that my head didn’t sink down into the mattress. Beyond these observations, I also appreciate that you can choose from two different neck alignment options, by turning the pillow 180 degrees. I ended up liking the side that seems to traditionally be used as the top part of the pillow, so having two different options is a helpful feature. Although I didn’t love sleeping on my side or stomach with this pillow, it wasn’t uncomfortable, and when on your side, the outer edges of the pillow don’t bend inwards and smother your face while you sleep. While I might have awarded a five-star rating based on most of the features of this pillow, I cannot justify doing so when there is such an enormous fluctuation in pricing. With over a 40% change in pricing between when my order was placed and what this item is currently selling at, less than one week later, I tend to question what this variability means for the quality of the item. As such, this sizable change in pricing results in a one-star deduction from the total rating. Overall, I think this is a terrific pillow that could be very useful to many people with a variety of neck alignment concerns. It’s unfortunate that there was such a massive shift in price, as this item would otherwise have merited a five-star rating. Read more

This is really helping! I was recently diagnosed with cervical radiculopathy, causing neck, back, shoulder and arm pain and pinched nerve symptoms. This pillow has been helping relieve pain symptoms. The media could not be loaded. I wasn’t sure about this pillow when my wife ordered it. After sleeping on it I was very surprised at the total comfort I had all night. There are so many ways to use this pillow I haven’t even tried them all. The support is soft and perfect. The construction of the for and materials are well done. The fit of the included pillow cover is good. I unzipped and removed the cover easily. Putting it back on isn’t as difficult as I thought it would be. There are three snap areas that create the ear relief areas. The foam has three holes that go all the way through where you snap the top of the pillow to the bottom where I had to use both hands to put them together. It went on easy enough so washing the pillow case isn’t difficult. This is a solid solution for neck and head pain and discomfort while sleeping.
