I have a blind dog and I am always looking for fun toys for her. This ball is such a game changer. She loves to play fetch but with a regular ball but this ball makes it more exciting. It almost has a little attitude 😂 it’ll bounce itself (almost as if it’s stomping its feet like “heeeeey!! Come get me!😈” I will say though, I have to put blankets against the wall because it bangs them pretty hard. I wish I could find some kind of fabric/ fur cover to cushion the impact and protect the paint. But for now the blanket works Read more

We have 2 dogs, a Redbone Coonhound & Beagle, the beagle could care less (of course, bc I didn’t get the ones with the treats), but the Coonhound is OBSESSED with the ball!!! She is an aggressive chewer though & had the plastic middle ring off in about 5 minutes after having it delivered. She wants to chew the ball until it’s in pieces bc that’s the game she likes. It did keep her active, but we have to watch her at all times so she doesn’t get the middle out. Not sure if they will come up with a more durable outer shell, but I will definitely invest when that happens. Unfortunately we can only give it to her for about 5min at a time & then she barks like crazy bc she wants it back. Was fun watching her chase after it though. She’s not good at dropping the ball, so harder for us to get the ball back. More suitable for a dogs that can drop & play well. I still highly recommend Read more

This ball was fine until it wasn’t. It stopped charging. I tried using different charging cables thinking it might be the cable but it’s not. This did not even last a full year. The concept is great but won’t last. Read more

I really thought this would be a great toy for our pup. He's a 65 lb. German Shepard/ Lab Retriever mix who loves to play fetch with tennis balls and squeaky balls. We even have a large RC truck that he is obsessed with chasing around. We ordered this up and plugged it in to charge after we received it. First off, the worst thing about this toy ball is that it uses micro USB to charge. WHY?!?!? USB C has been out for 10 years now, there's no excuse to slap micro USB on any rechargeable device these days. Especially for a ball that costs $50. Inexcusable and minus stars for that. After charging it up, we turned it on and let the fun begin! The ball has a motorized gyro inside the hard plastic shell, which serves to make the ball jump around or roll in a particular direction. It's actually very cool to see. Unfortunately, our dog wasn't that impressed with it and really didn't know quite what to do with the ball. He would grab it in his mouth and then drop it shortly after. He then started to chew on it, which we didn't want him to do so we told him to stop, which he did. The slight bit of chewing started to separate a small chunk of plastic/rubber from the cover, so I don't think the shell would last very long with a hard chewing dog. Fortunately you can purchase a replacement cover for $20 here, which is nice, albeit pricey. Our doggo just isn't into this gyro ball for some reason. We turn it on and he kind of gives it a side eye, keeping tabs on it, but not really engaging with it much at all. It jumps and rolls around, but he just ends up ignoring it. I guess he really wants us to throw a real ball around with him instead. Smarter than he looks this pup! In conclusion, it's really subjective on whether or not your dog will like this electronic gyro ball. You probably won't know until after you buy it, set it up, and turn it on. Even then, how long with your dog want to play with it? I do think it's a neat implementation of the electronic gyro inside to make the ball jump and roll around randomly. Unfortunately our furry son just wasn't that interested in it in the end. Go figure. Your mileage will most definitely vary. Read more

Not chew toy proof if you have a dog who likes to test their toys to the max. I figures if it was smooth less grip to chew on. Silly me I have a Rottie. HOWEVER she does play with it and you can order the shell again. I bought two. One for her another for my grandpup a Yorkipoo, he loves it. Read more
