The media could not be loaded. Surprisingly impressed with this set. Has every price and more included. The instructions were pretty clear at least to me, you have to count the nobs to make sure your using the correct piece and only has a couple different colors but instructions make the colors very clear. The design only has one real flaw and that’s when you put the base of the floating island to the surface of the floating island, it likes to try and break apart so be very slow and calm. The light set up is very simple. I wouldn’t recommend this set for a kid under the age of 12 because the pieces are very tiny and it takes a lot of patience unless that kid loves long time consuming projects. As an adult I had a great time building this though I think I prefer other sets over this one specifically. Read more

"It is very hard to build but it is a masterpiece when it's done. The waterfall is the hardest part." from my 6 year old who bought this with his own money. He worked on it with heavy help from his Dad. It took months and the pieces are sooo small and the directions so unclear that it was very difficult to build. Even for my husband. It shows that it's appropriate for a 6 year old + but I would argue that it would take someone at least 15 years old to do on their own. We will never again not buy Lego brand. It looks amazing but was way too hard and time intensive to put together. Read more

This set is definitely not for beginners but worth the time and effort! Here are some advice that I found helpful. Small pieces. I have long nails so this was definitely a challenge. Took advice from another reviewer to use tweezers. This was the BEST advice! I had 1 longer tweezer and 1 pointed end to help me remove pieces when they were in the wrong place (and it will happen). Picture instructions not clear. You have to look VERY carefully to see the lines of the pieces, where they're assembled so you can match it exactly. This is SUPER challenging since the lines are hard to see, sometimes partly covered by another piece. Make sure you're doing this under bright lighting or have a small flashlight type to see better. I definitely had to put my reading glasses on. Easy to accidentally break pieces off. As you're assembling, it's very easy to accidentally knock over the trees, flowers, etc. Luckily for the trees, after realizing it's only for aesthetics, it didn't matter that I did not put them in the exact spot. Similar to another reviewer, I did not separate the pieces into cups but rather chose to dump the bags I was working on into a Tupperware container. This way I could look for the pieces easily and able to close it up so it doesn't accidentally get knocked over by my kid or pets. Light works beautifully but no music. Not sure if mine was defective but it did not play any music, which I was fine with. It was the lights I was interested in and preferred not to have music. But if you're looking forward to the music, I can't express an opinion on the sound. No issues w/ missing pieces and had extras in the end, which I appreciate just in case. For me, it was worth the time and money. Definitely take your time, no rush. Read more
First off, I really like this set. It's gorgeous, so far. Here are a few things to know: 1. This is a micro block set. They are tiny! Have tweezers handy. 2. There are 3 phases to building it. The bags of blocks are labeled for each phase. There are several bags to each phase. 3. If you expect the blocks to be presorted to specific steps....forget it. This is not the name brand. 4. You will need to sort the blocks into types for each phase. It makes it easier. Condiment cups with lids are lifesavers. 5. You can use those condiment cups to sort pieces for each step. Just label them. It moves faster that way. 6. Take pictures of each step so you can zoom in for the details to know what piece goes where. 7. This does not have music, but the lights dance. It's a great set. I will buy another, but it can take a little bit to put together. I am finished with phase one and have started phase two. This is not a good set if you have infants or pets who like to put items in their mouths. They would be easy to choke on. Read more

As someone who has only built Lego and Nanoblock kits, I found this particular item to have been a very welcome challenge. A strong work light with magnifier is highly recommended as some colors can look very similar and the detail in the instruction manual is very intricate. Verify spacing before assembly. Parts do fit tightly at first (unlike Nanoblock), but do loosen up a bit after moving a piece. Decals are so-so and could use a little trim before applying. My kit does not make music (or at least, I haven't figured out how to start it) but it does light up, which gives a pleasant effect. I would not recommend this kit for kids unless they have a lot of patience or genius IQ. Mating the top of the island to the bottom was the hairiest part of the build. Preplanning and double-checking is a must. At it's price, this is an excellent value if successful and a cheap gamble if you're not. Read more
I loved building this. Its very challenging because the top portion only connects by the waterfalls. Really pretty! Love it! No music though. The pieces are durable and sturdy! Love the small details of this! Read more
