A good time

My dog destroyed it and loved every minute of it. Since he's happy, I'm happy. He even brought it to me to fight with me over it 😂. I will buy again, but I do wish they were tougher to rip. Read more

‘Supervised’ play only

I’ve three very competitive American Bulldog/pit bull mixes from the same litter now going on 8 years old. Weighing in at 94, 90, and 68 lbs. All three absolutely love Chuck It toys. So much that if we didn’t supervise their play time, the toys would be destroyed within minutes. But of all the toys they’ve received, only Chuck It survives the longest with heavy play with supervision. Lets not count the toys they refused to play with as those literally collect dust. They have a bin of toys they may go through at whim to pick out and destroy, but Chuck It toys are prizes to them. Those are literally stored 6 ft off the floor on top of a cabinet to dissuade stealing and destroying. If sitting in the mud room sink after rinsing from heavy outside play, one of the dogs have figured out how to quietly snag it from the sink if we forget it was there drying off. Why we love this brand? The dogs know immediately by color they are going to have a blast chasing each other for it. They get very excited when they see us grab the toy to go outside. Each Chuck It toy plays different due to shape. Their favs: tri bumper (both sizes), cube, kick ball. The larger sizes are a challenge for the runt, but she holds her own against her brothers. We intervene when all three get hold of the toy. The only time I let them finish off a Chuck It in a three way tug of war is if the toy was halfway destroyed already. They get quite the workout, and that runt truly does hold her own in the three way pull. But until the toy gets to being halfway destroyed, we command return of the toy to reset their game. I try to give each dog a chance to snag the toy on throws by catering to either their strengths or their weaknesses with the throws, and each dog gets the toy at least one time before end of exercise. It’s like a football match. The other two dogs will chase the one with the toy in an aggressive attempt to steal the toy. Runt has incredible speed that her larger siblings never catch her. The largest is too large to sustain rapid speed; so he found cunning ways to keep them from the toy including using his mass to slam their fast approach out of his way…like watching billiards. The only ‘retriever’ among my pups is the slightly lighter boy. He’ll return the toy to reset the game as soon as he gets the toy. But if he doesn’t return the toy immediately, he’s the destroyer of the toy…and we watch him closely when he gets the toy in a throw. He is the best ball player and the worse toy preserver. So KNOW your dog’s behavior. These Chuck It toys are not cheap. Are they DURABLE? Define fun and durable when it comes to dogs’ toys…seriously. There truly is no such combination…not one person shopping here could afford such if existed, me included. So we SUPERVISE their play with Chuck It toys because we KNOW their behavior. Our Chuck It toy can last from a week to a month depending on how successful we as the owners are at supervised play WITH our large pups. That’s ONE toy being used across THREE very large dogs in very competitive physical play. If you aren’t willing to WORK with your dogs at play but expect a toy to withstand canine teeth, you got the wrong understanding of canines…no wonder they are destroying everything you give them. Indestructible… so far!

This is a great toy for my dog. I love that it floats so my dog can retrieve it in the pol. It’s also well made and my german shepherd hasn’t destroyed it even though she tries. Read more

A fun toy!

A good toy, floats well. The cover is sturdy, but maybe not 'determined chewer' sturdy. The end caps seem glued on, not sewn, so...A pittie who's not totally focused on it will get the cover off in a day or less. Not the products fault. Seems like it would have been a fun pool toy. sigh. Read more

Function

The media could not be loaded. Love it , I wish it came in a bigger size. My dogs favorite toy at the lake. Doesn’t fade and disintegrate like others that get wet. Color and material hold up well . Sometimes i think i need 2 because the dogs don’t want to wait on one another. Read more

Mixed feelings on durability

Floats well and my dogs love it. The seam on the side started opening soon after purchase, exposing the inner material. Does not effect functionality and my dogs have not been focused on ripping it apart so I will continue to use it. But not sure how durable it would be with rougher pups. Read more

Chuckit?.. more like - well you get it. Very poor quality.

The media could not be loaded. Used it all of 3 days, NO UNSUPERVISED PLAY, hardly any tugging, and ITS ALREADY COMING APART. splurged for a name brand for my boys birthday and he can't even play with it. what a jip. I have toys that didn't even cost 25% as much , get way more play, and they haven't ripped. Chuckit? More like SUCKIT. Poor quality, very disappointed. Also, barely even bounced and the aerodynamics make it hard to get distance on a toss. Overall, I would never recommend this you, and I will hesitate to recommend this brand ever again. Read more
