Originally wanted this for the car, but the car is mostly plastic.Inside, but I found a spot near the moonroof where clamps on pretty good. I actually end up using this at home at work.Every word that I sit I need my phone clamps onto anything.Metal really good. They have given a lot of features in this price. Seems they have taken customer feedback seriously. The magnet is strong so it sticks well on iron surface. For other surface they have provides a couple of plates to stick first and then hang the stand. Never tried that as I don't want my phone to be in risk of falling. Worth for all the features. So, highly recommend to stick with iron surface and good for gym as most equipments are made of iron. Read more
