"blah blah blah... ozone output from UV bulbs is minimal to negligent, go with a ceramic plate" they said. I take this thing out of the box replace it with the bulb in the closet, turn it on and quickly close the door while avoiding eye contact. I already own a battery powered one, so I skeptically open the door after 30 seconds...the smell of ozone is OVERWHELMING! This is fantastic, not a con at all. But for anyone who thinks $15 isn't going to get them very far with products in this category...I hope you know just how "adequate" this little bulb really is. Verdict: Buy it! It emits an opresssive amount of ozone in under a minute. Make sure the room has negative pressure and vents outside!!! Read more

I put this in a lamp I was not using anymore with no shade. Sat it in our guest bath for 30min. Ozone was very strong, Even after the window being open for hours. I then put it in our master bath with the bedroom door & closet door open. It was very strong in all 3 rooms after just 30min. I wore sunglasses and pretty much just tried not to look at it since I have read it can damage your eyes. I like having alternative disinfectants & medicines basically around. Read more

The need arose of a germicidal lamp when the crawl space under my house became wet due to excessive rain over a weekend. There was no way to remove all the water thus some was left and in a few weeks I could detect mold forming in several areas. In a few more days there was an odor and at that point I knew something had to be done. I considered calling in a professional but after reading about this particular UV lamp with Ozone I decided to give it a try. Obviously it couldn't get rid of the water but that eventually took care of itself. It was the mold and smell that was my primary concern. I bought 2 of these bulbs, one with and one without the Ozone feature. In a matter of days, I could noticeably detect a difference. The smell was no longer and the mold was going away! I am totally satisfied with these UV lamps and highly recommend. Additionally, the merchant was great in answering questions promptly. Read more

Purchased the ones without ozone and put them on a timer. Works great!!!! Placed the on the ceiling in my basement to kill all the bacteria and mold. Timer goes on at night when everyone is sleeping so no one gets affected by them. No ozone smell. Read more

Very unusefull instruction, but seen to work fine doing what is suppose to do. Would like to use it on a ceiling fixture, bulb upside down, but there is no instruction if you can use it on a ceiling or wall fixture or a plastic/metal/fabric shade over it. Read more

For it being a water device if the top floods 1 time the front panels goes useless and ur only use is the remote.. other than that the device works decently well.. downfall is the instruction booklet Read more
