I have been feeling uncomfortable this winter, my nose is itchy, and my throat is very dry. It is useless to see a doctor. I always want to cough during the work, but I am afraid of causing other people's anxiety. On the suggestion of a friend, I bought this air filter and placed it on the desk. It does not take up space and is easy to operate. so far I use it almost two months .Today I found out that since I used this air filter, my throat hasn't felt dry and itchy for a long time. Really a good product, it will change you to give you a healthy life when you don’t know it Read more

Build Quality: The build quality is good and it looks like a quality product. I really like the fabric screen and I think they did a good job on the design. There are no obvious defects and the unit functions very well. Air Ionizer There is a small air Ionizer that is in the fan. Since there is no on/off button I really questioned whether it was there or not but you can smell the ionized air so I looked a little harder and did see one tiny needle point (generator) on the inside of the fan about half way up. It didn't seem like much but it was enough to provide a noticeable fresh air smell but certainly not as robust as other air filters No Pre Filter / Unclear where to purchase replacement filters The product page shows a pre filter listed as a feature (product page photo # 3) but the unit does not have one nor is there room to add your own, which I tried. The back cover retention device is very weak and the door will not stay shut if you try to add a carbon filter (last photo). Since I could not find any replacement air filters I was determined to find a way to add a pre-filter to help extend the filter life. I ended up buying white colored electrical tape to keep the door shut. Performance The unit works well as an air filter and does purify a good volume of air appropriate for a small bedroom. The fan noise is comparable to other air filters. Always with the Lights / no "sleep mode" There is no way to turn off the lights for a sleep mode. This is fine if you use this as an office air filter as the "Desktop air filter" description implies. This may be too much light for some people's bedroom however you can use black electric tape to mask off the lights. Final thoughts: Overall the unit does a good job purifying air and it s functions well as a small office filter. I enjoy the smell of ionized air and this is one of the few smaller air filter units that has one. I do recommend this product if you can add your own pre-filter or find a source for replacement HEPA filters. Read more

I'm giving this a couple stars because it looks sharp and it works. But this is not something I would recommend, and I see several apparent discrepancies between the detail page and the product itself. It's not a touch screen, there is no screen. It's just a touch control - on/off, and 3-speed fan. I could not find an ionizer in the unit. It's possible they're calling the blue light an ionizer. It's also possible there's a very tiny one in there I can't find. You should be able to smell the ions, and I cannot. Either way, a decent ionizer is going to consumer at least 50-100 watts, and this entire unit consumes only 24 watts, just enough for the fan and light. So if there is an ionizer in there, it's so negligible it won't do much. There was no instruction manual in the box. There is no tag on the cord indicating UL listed, voltage, polarity, etc, which I believe is a requirement in the US. There is a sticker on the back of the unit with a CE approval mark on it. This claims to be a HEPA filter, but there are no markings on the filter indicating this. According to the HEPA web site, a true HEPA filter will have it's rating clearly printed on the box or packaging. There is no way to turn off the light. I do not like the fabric square in the front of the unit - the rear of this fabric square is going to catch dust and there is no way to clean it. The plastic casing is pretty thin and flimsy. If this is intended for desk top or coffee table, it should have a handle so it can be moved around easily. It does not. It may have a negligible ionizer in there, and it has the blue/green/red light to indicate air quality, though I've only seen the light blue, regardless of the environment or the amount of dust. So as far as I can tell, this is just a small filter in front of a small fan. You could accomplish better air filtration by taping a furnace filter to a box fan. It is a sharp looking unit, but I have too many concerns. It's a pass for me. Read more
