My house runs off of a creek and well. I wanted to ensure the water was safe to use for my fish, so I ordered this filter to purify their water. I tested the water before and after using the filter. To my surprise, the creek water tested well prior to using the filter, however, the bacteria test came back cloudy. With use of the filter, the bacteria test came back negative with no cloudiness. My fish are thriving and have transitioned well from the RO water to the filtered creek water. It is easy to install and a nice size. I love that the internal filter lasts 9 to 12 months. I bought this filter because I am living as a retiree in a tiny studio apartment inside a relatives garage. Very nice little one bedroom apartment, but pipes are from the early 70’s We have very high mineral well water out here. And you could very definitely taste the minerals. So, since I am not I. The position to have a built in h filter system installed, I started looking at countertop models. Someone I knew had this one and was happy with hers, so I ordered this filter. This is honestly a great buy, I was tired of using my brita water filter and just wanted something that wouldnt take up as much space as the 27 cup dispenser I had. It was pretty easy to install. My issues are: Theres no holder that the company gives you to try and hide the line to the filter. So I had to tape it to my faucet. Its not very nice looking... If I didnt it would look even worse! Second, is that when you stop the flow of water it takes a while for it to stop which creates a lot of drippage. This has solved so many issues because I no longer buy bottled water and have to deal with filling up my trashbag every other day with bottles and hauling them out all the time. It's also great that I'm not contributing to the landfill issues. The water tastes great, and I love how quickly I can fill pitchers with it, much better than the one I owned previous to this. I love this product. The water tastes great, easy to put together and fits conveniently next to sink. Stylish looking as well. I actually ended up buying another one for my mother. She lost her tool that takes on and off the filter, so I emailed them and they sent her a whole new one in just days. No overwhelming questions or grilling. And their response was quick. This countertop Water Filtration System is convenient, easy to setup and does a nice job of eliminating bad tasting city water. However it is NOT NSF Certified as it claims to be. In fact as of Nov 21, 2024 they were asked to delete the NSF claim from their selling post by NSF.gov, but they have neglected to do so. So those concerned about “chemicals/sediments” (other than just “taste”), might want to do some research to see if this OEMIRY unit or any other units sold by other companies claiming to be NSF Certified is worth buying.
