One day, our son announced that he would like a slow cooker for his apartment that he shared with 7 other guys. Checking out slow cookers on Amazon, I stumbled on this one. PERFECT for him because it has a function on it to automatically adjust the heat and time of cooking. His job in college was driving the security transportation until 3am so he could set this to be complete at whatever time he would get his break for dinner. Worked great! Now he's graduated from college and is happily using it to meal prep for the week. So proud of that kid! He credits the flexibility to program it in all of the different ways. It just looks great on the counter. The controls are very easy to operate. We did a 5 pound chicken per the recipe in the book included. It turned out wonderful, but just a bit dry because I think the automatic timer actually cooked it too long. I will over-ride the automatic setting next time. I will set the next chicken to time it manually. This replaced a 20 year old Slow cooker. The 6 quart size is just right. 4 is too small, and 8 quart is WAY too big. This is a really nice crock pot. Given that state of the State with the Lmitations we have been given now, this is a nice unit. I looked forever for a Safe unit that was simple. This unit has programming functions that are cool, and I might use them some day, but typically we well just cook a roast for 4 to 8 hours on low or high. No big. Used it on Mother's day and the pork roast came out great. PRO: The unit plug was not hot after 6 hours on high, which I find in most small appliances made in china. The ceramic pot itself was made well (lead fee?) CON: it has a button battery for the Menu programming feature, but I don't care about that for myself. I gave only 4 stars because of this import country's standards lack of product liability/quality control. Read more

This is my all time favorite slow cooker. It has cooked everything to the correct temp and doneness. My old slow cooker always overcooked my meals. This one has my favorite feature that you can set what time you want your meal to be done. That way if you have to work all day, you know your meal will be done at the exact time you are ready to eat. Easy to use and clean! Read more

Very happy that I finally got a crockpot that I can schedule meals with. Easy to set up for what you are cooking. I use my crockpots 1-2 times a week, so I am enjoying this! The one thing that I wish it, or just about any crockpot had, is a hinged lid. I bought a separate item (Liddit) to take care of that and would recommend that also. Read more
