Great lower cost replacement for the GE XWFE. I used two of these in the past 12 months. I have a GE Double Door Fridge that requires the GE XWFE filter which I bought new two years ago this month. I wanted to wait for a year to replace two of these filters before giving a review. I just replaced the second Crystala Filter, and just like the first one I used, works great. Fit is exact, seals with no drips, and chip inside must work because you get no error codes. Several other After market filters that claim to be replacements for the XWFE do not work and will give you an error code. So far Crystala Filters work great. Plus is a more affordable price. This product is easy to install. It took me less than 5 minutes. It also comes with stickers of months so you know when to replace. I flushed the filter. It took me less than a minute. Working fine. Improvement on water quality. Read more
seemed to work OK.. they fit properly and did install easily... Do they Work? Hard to say ... There is no reduction measurable in the PPM from my regular tap water. So I really did not notice a difference in taste or quality. they are less expensive than the GE product. Read more
This filter has been working fine for 5 months in the GE Profile model PSE25KYHFHFS side-by-side refrigerator. Water tastes and smells fine. Will buy again. Tons cheaper than the GE brand. When installing just pay attention to the orientation of the in/out holes on the filter when removing your existing filter and align the new filter the same way. I thinks it’s ridiculous that GE put RF chips in their filters. They contend they did this to protect your health by preventing you from buying cheap filers. But you can get a free filter bypass plug from them if you call their 800 number. So… they’re ok with you not using any filter whatsoever??? Read more
I bought this to replace the original GE XWFE filter. GE has sent me a lot of marketing flyers and emails asking me to buy the original filter from GE, which is about $15 more. I feel that generic filters from Amazon may just have the same quality. I choose this one from Crystala. It comes in a well packed box. It is easy to install and works great. The chip inside must be working correctly and shows correct codes on the fridge display. I may reorder again if it continues to work properly for the remaining six months. Read more

Fits perfectly and no error code. I was a little worried after ordering this filter when I read some non-manufacturer made filters will cause the system to continue showing an error, but as soon as I connected this filter, the error message of “no filter inserted” did go away. It has worked without issue for several days now. Read more
