The aesthetic design of this rice cooker is absolutely stunning—simple, classic, and elegant. It fits perfectly on my white display cabinet and blends seamlessly with my modern kitchen decor. Cleaning and maintenance are incredibly easy, which is a big plus for me. The stainless steel cover and auto steam cleaning function make it hassle-free to keep it spotless. However, there’s one major downside: this model is heavily specialized in cooking sticky rice. While it does an excellent job with glutinous rice, it doesn’t offer other cooking modes like sushi rice, multigrain rice, or porridge, which are standard in other competitor models. And there is no fast cooking option for non pressurized cooking mode such as Jasmine rice. It took me some trial and error to figure out how to cook sushi rice or short-grain rice for fried rice. For those in the same situation, here are some tips: 1. Use the Jasmine Rice Mode: If you want to cook short-grain rice for sushi or fried rice, use the Jasmine rice setting. Stick to the same water level as the manual suggests, or reduce it slightly for firmer texture. 2. Avoid Leaving Rice Too Long: Don’t leave leftover rice in the cooker for more than half a day. The “keep warm” function tends to dry out the rice or cause discoloration, especially with short grains. If you cook much more than what you need then freeze the rice and microwave it before eating. Absolutely thrilled with my new Cuchen rice cooker! My old one finally gave out after a decade, so I decided to upgrade, and wow, this machine is fantastic. First off, it's super easy to use. Just push a button and you're good to go. The menu options are great whether it's sticky rice, brown rice, or even steamed dishes, everything comes out perfectly cooked every time. The stainless steel inner pot feels very solid and is durable, which I really appreciate. My last cooker lasted 10 years, and I have a strong feeling this one will too. Definitely a happy customer here, and I highly recommend it to anyone looking for a reliable, high-quality rice cooker. Read more

First of all, it’s so pretty to look and use every time I cook. It gives me joy when I cook. Also the quality is excellent. My favorite part is the stainless steel inner pot. Most electric rice cookers have coated inner pots with forever chemicals. I don’t have to worry about it with this. Read more

The calrose rice comes out sticky rice. The rice is clumped together and very difficult to separate. Jasmine rice comes out great but since our family mainly eats calrose, this is very disappointing. Also. The calrose rice starting turning yellow after less than 12 hours Also, the top is very difficult to open. You have to turn it counter clockwise until it pops opens and when it opens, the whole rice cooker jumps backwards. They got rid of a lot of buttons and dials for an aesthetic look but it’s really not practical. Read more

Cooks rice with a delicious chew. It is so fast, sticky rice can be made in 16 minutes on turbo mode. Super simple to use. Put in rice, fill water to line and your done. I’m looking at the negative reviews on here and feel that people have the wrong expectations. One guy says it yellows the rice fast when he leaves it on keep warm for 12 hours! No rice is going to be good after keeping warm in a little rice cooker after 12 hours! Just because it can be used for that long doesn’t mean you should. Cleaning is a breeze. The lid pops off the top, I put that and the pot and the spatula in the dishwasher and I’m done. I wash the pot soon after eating to prevent the rice from getting hard and stuck to the pot, if this happens just fill the pot with water wait 15 min while watching tv and then put the empty pot in the dishwasher. Comes out spotless. Use the cleaning mode if the steam vent is clogged, not for everyday cleaning. So far I have it for 2 years working great and never used the cleaning mode. I don’t understand why anyone would need a manual to use this machine. It is made for ease of use. Press select to select the type of rice you’re cooking and then press start to start. Did you get that: select to select and start to start - easy. This is one of the few (rare) models with a full stainless steel non-coated pot and lid. Sometimes the pot isn’t coated but the lid still is. Hence it is perfect for anyone worried about chemicals from the coatings rice cookers usually use in their food. The design is smooth and simple. The exterior is very easy to clean. I bought one for my sister and she loves it as well. I use it 3-4 times per week and it feels like it will be a long lasting machine. The pressure cooking really speeds up cooking. I will note that for some rice types like jasmine it is not appropriate to use pressure cooking so Jasmine rice takes 40 min. I don’t think this is a problem as I start cooking by making the rice and usually take 30-60 min to make dinner anyway. As for price you really are paying a premium for the non-coated pot but when taking that into consideration it is a good value for a pressure rice cooker. Read more
