I've had other non-stick pans, but this one is so much better than those, they don't even belong in the same category. I still use a little olive oil when I cook -- habit -- but I think that's not really necessary. Even when the food starts to burn, it doesn't stick. RE: food starts to burn -- this pan cooks so much faster, and at lower heat, that it took some adjustments to my cooking. This pan cooks well with about 2/3rds the amount of heat as my other pans, in about 2/3rds the time. Now that I've figured all that out, I hardly ever burn the meat. <grin> My only quibble is no vent hole in the lid. However, I just stick a spoon along the side, and let the lid rest on the spoon handle, creating a vent gap that way. Cleanup is a breeze. I wipe the pan with a damp paper towel as soon as I put the food on the plate, just to get rid of the leftover oil, sauce, whatever. (Probably not necessary, but I'd rather throw that stuff in the trash than run it down the drain.) When the pan is cool, I set it in the sink, add a few drops of dish liquid, fill it with water, and let it set for a while. I go back later and use a dishcloth or paper towel to rub the surface of the pan with the soapy water, rinse, and it's done. There's been no scrubbing necessary. (Maybe if I burned something to a crisp, but I haven't done that.) I bought the 8-inch skillet for single-person meals (4 oz meat) and the 12-inch skillet for family-sized meals (1 lb. meat). I like them so much that I've just ordered the 11-inch flat griddle; I expect it'll make reheating leftover pizza much easier. These pans are absolutely wonderful, and I highly recommend them. Nice size skillet. It’s sturdy. Heats evenly. It holds a lot so one-pan recipes work well in this pan. I really like the glass lid. It cleans nicely. Don’t use metal or you’ll ruin it. Haven’t noticed anything sticking to it. Read more

We purchased the Cuisinart 12-Inch Skillet, Nonstick-Hard-Anodized with Glass Cover, 622-30GP1, after we returned a Cuisinart 10-Inch version that advertised a lid but did not come with one. We used it today and it did a great job. The larger size provides more than enough room for several ingredients at one time. It cooked with an even temperature and the lid was very handy. Clean-up was a charm. The surface was so easy to clean - just some warm soapy water, rinse, and dry. We even purchased a new Silicone Cooking Utensils Kitchen Utensil Set to use with our new skillets. My wife is very happy and satisfied with Cuisinart products! Read more

The only thing that I don't like is the handle of the lid because it doesn't have any rubber on it to protect your hand. The size of skillet is perfect for stirfrys, cooking eggs (Sunnyside up or over easy). Easy to clean, the nonstick of this Calphalon skillet is so vet nice and I don't have to worry about things sticking to it. Just have to remember to use wooden or plastic utensils, and not metal. I bought this for my daughter, as she does a lot of cooking for her old, retired dad. I chose this pan for its size, depth, included glass lid and the Cuisinart brand name. She uses it every day and it's holding up well and working well. Food isn't sticking and it cooks evenly. I recommend it. Read more

I've had this pan for 2 years and might be a little discolored but it is not flaking and still works great! Whenever I finish cooking I make sure I don't leave it on the hot gas grill where it still may be hot, or leave it on hot stove with heat on by accident! Still for the price it is 4x cheaper than hex clad and it is actually non-stick unlike Hex-Clad which I bought a griddle at Costco and when I complained about it sticking even after seasoning it, and their reply was to use more oil! I want a non-stick pan so I don't need a lot of oil or I can just use an all stainless steel pan! Read more
