This is a GREAT pan!!! The lid fits well, and its glass-so you can keep an eye on what you are cooking, the bottom hearts evenly and quickly, and if you follow the 'hot pan, cold oil' rule, you should have a nice surface that doesn't stick AND cleans up well. While I have ALWAYS used and loved the natural non-stick qualities of the large cast iron fry pans used to cook family meals, I wanted something that could go thru the dishwasher, wasn't hard on my wrists, and was big enough to cook a whole casserole. This pan TOTALLY fits the bill. I also love that it can go from stove top to oven, and that the handles aren't long, wieldy and clumsy. They do get hot if you are cooking for a long period, like a rice or one-pot pasta meal, however they are designed well, and nicely accommodate pot mitts. This pan is also very pretty, shiny inside and out, pretty enough to display on open shelving. I just want to say that think's it's unfair to compare this modestly priced item to pans that go for 15 times as much, and then give this pan an unfair rating. I have read a lot of reviews for pans around this price, and have found a few people saying that they prefer their $350.00 french chef pan they picked up while on holiday….apples to oranges. All in all, this is swell little pan that is appropriately priced..I know I am going to get YEARS of use from this pan. The shape of this pan makes it perfect for Chicken pot pie, One-pot pasta, Shepherds pie, baked fish and chicken, enchiladas, breakfast casserole, stir fry, biscuits, and much more. Read more

These pans are high quality, easy to clean, and look fantastic. The sizes are great, but we wished the set included one more pot to fully meet our daily needs. Read more

LONG TIME COOK—January 27, 2012
I have to say, after reading some of the reviews I was a little scared to buy the set. I have 47 years cooking experience for a family of 6. I also have a Contour 12" fry pan my fiance bought for me & I have had no problems with it, in fact I love this fry pan! So I took the plunge & bought the Contour set! My set came & they were just beautiful! Not a scratch or dent to be found anywhere. I have cooked everything in them with no problems (sticking, cleaning etc.) no marks , discoloration or pitting like some people have complained about. Handles & lid handles are fine, don't get hot enough for use of oven mitts. I have cooked tomato sauce & meatballs & let them simmer on the stove & have no sticking what so ever. The instructions are very clear about cooking temps. & cleaning process. I take a lot of pride in my cooking & how my pots & pans look. Cleaning is quick & simple. No more time to clean than any non stick set.No scrubbing needed! And they look beautiful. As good as new! Please Do Not let the negative reviews deter you from ordering these pots & pans, I love mine & I am sure you will Not be disappointed in this purchase! Just remember: Read the instructions & you will NOT have any problems, A few old hints: lower heat & heat the pan a little before putting oil or butter in the pan & everything will cook fine. Cooking with s.s. is different than non stick pans. And if something does stick,( old hint) put on stove with water & boil for a couple mins. & it will come right out & Bar Keepers Friend will become YOUR BEST FRIEND. It takes 2 seconds to use & saves on dish soap! Also if you find shadows of what you cooked in the pan, use about 1/8 th cup of vinegar to a cup or 2 of water & boil on stove & shadows will disappear like magic!I only saw a shadow once & never again! Also make sure you dry the pans well, I use a microfiber cloth & they shine like new! LOVE MY POTS & PANS! Wish you all luck with them. I have had an excellent experience with mine! 1 more thing, my fiance said he paid big bucks in the store for 1 12" pan, so i found the price on Amazon to be very good as well. Read more

Do not burn food.. all of the pans have held up well except the frying pan. After I seared some steaks the bottom of the pan discolored. They do work well with my convection stove top. I love to use the strainer to cook noodles and vegetables. My grandson doesn't like the lid handles, but I don't think they are that hot to remove. Besides the frying pan all of the other pans have held up like new. Read more
