LOVELY PAN, I ALREADY HAVE THIS SIZE & HAD TO RETURN. PERFECT FOR SO MANY THINGS AND CAN BE USED IN THE OVEN. GREAT CHOICE. I RETURNED ONLY BECAUSE I REALLY WANTED THE SMALLER SIZE AND ORDERED THIS BY MISTAKE Read more
I've used this pan for a variety of meals since I got it a few months ago, and it makes cooking so easy. Despite being stainless steel, nothing sticks to the bottom and cleanup is fast and painless. I get a great sear on meats, sauté veggies with very little oil, and the size is spacious but still easy to pick up and move around. I'm pretty rough on my cookware and I haven't noticed any scratches on the pot or the lid so far, which is a bonus. Read more
Mom wanted a deeper frying pan so I got this one. She loves it. It functions as a SS should with even heating on an electric cooktop due to the heavy base on the bottom of it. No worries for foods burning in hot spots. Something I hate with cheap, thin bottomed pans. Most of all, Mom loves it. Read more
I'm an avid cook and frequently use cast iron and stainless cookware. I needed a good saute pan and I was seeing prices close to the two hundred mark for the good, well known brands. I also saw the extreme of thirty dollar pans that were very light and extremely thin. I saw the Cuisinart Chef's Classic for under sixty dollars and saw the good reviews it had. I purchased it and I'm glad I did. It is not as heavy duty as Al-Clad and some of the high end brands, BUT it is considerably more robust than the cheaper pans. I cook on a gas stove and find that this pan heats up really well on a medium-high setting and doesn't have the hot spot like my cast iron pans have. Chunks of meat will brown evenly throughout the pan and I don't have to rotate pieces in and out of the hot spot like I do on the cast iron pans. This pan is a great size. I use it to cook for 3-4 people and can easily load it up to serve twice that many. Very versatile and easy to clean. I love using this pan for stews and such where I can brown the meat, saute vegetables and then add water and seasoning and let it simmer for a while. The lid fits well and the helper handle is a nice feature for when the pan is loaded down and is heavy. Even though only the bottom has the aluminum core, I find that it cooks very well and has good heat retention. The other brands are heavier and I'm sure are great for professionals, but for me, I think this this pan is awesome and I'll take the extra hundred dollars I saved and buy more cookware like this. I purchased this pan 16 years ago (in 2009) on Amazon, and I still have it and use it all the time, and it’s in a great condition. I use it more than any other pan I have because I sauté in it, cook pasta sauce and then finish pasta in it, and I make risotto in it, up to 6 servings at a time. If I had to have only one pan in my kitchen, this pan would be it. It is the most versatile and dependable pan I’ve ever owned. The reason I’m writing this review now is, I was just wondering how long I’ve had this pan, and looked it up in my Amazon orders to find out. Then I decided that 16 years of great use is a good testament to its quality and that I should write a review about it. :) I mean, how often do you read a review after a review written a day or two after purchase and wonder, how can they know? They just got the thing. This review is based on 16 years of use. Read more

Function: We love this pan. It filled a serious hole in our kitchen supplies and now handles all our large meals. We do a lot of fish frying, stir frying, “one pot” meals, and the like in this pan. I love love the large flat space and even heat distribution. Especially for thin fish, this has been great. I also love being able to transfer from stovetop to oven for many of our go-to recipes. Prior to owning this pan, my husband did all the frying and I thought it was because I didn’t know how to do a good job, but it turns out I’d just never had a non-temperamental pan. Bonus: its large size cuts down on the amount of oil that jumps out of the pan and all over the stove and counter when my husband cooks! Cleaning: It does NOT function like a coated, non-stick pan but if you follow the instructions for both cooking and cleaning, your food will not stick and it’s very easy to clean. I despise dishes but I’m always happy to clean this because it usually handles the whole meal prep, so even though I have to hand wash it, I have less to do than most other nights. I use a dish wand (the kind that you fill with soap so you can hand wash without filling the sink) and did feel the need to switch to the non-scratch kind as I worried the regular pads were too abrasive. **If you’ve grown up with coated pots and pans and have never known anything else, do yourself a favor and read the instructions before you start cooking or you will not be happy with this pan.** Value: I bought this as a gift for my husband, who had planned to buy me a much more expensive pan like this, and almost every time we use it he comments how glad he is that I got him this inexpensive option first. We’ve been using it regularly for close to a year and it still looks like new. Read more
