This is a heavy duty, very sturdy grater. I am very impressed with the sturdiness of the materials. The last few graters I have had have cracked or broken due to the force behind the food I am grating. This grater never flexed while I was pushing the cheese across it. It will probably outlast me! This grater was worth every penny. I love that it is a slim design to fit in my drawer, and yet I have options for grating my food—it can stand on end to grate on a plate or it can be placed over a bowl. The holes are very large for grating larger shreds of cheese, potatoes, carrots, etc. My husband loves the large shreds. It seems sharp while I was grating the cheese, yet I didn’t cut my fingers as I was cleaning it. The wider spacing of holes allowed for ease of cleaning. The shipping was very quick—arrived early. “Great” product (pun attended). Allows for grating a block of cheese into “ farm style” shredded cheese at about one half the cost. It is super sharp and easy to use. We buy large blocks of cheese grate it up and add a little bit of cornstarch and bag it up for half the cost. Definitely worth it! Read more

Yes, it is expensive. But it is exactly what I was searching for. If you love very large thick shreds like the Tillamook farm house shreds, this is the grater you need. It is restaurant quality so that is why is pricey. It is very heavy and worth every penny. I even bought my daughter one and she loves it as well. Read more

This grater is solidly built with a sturdy frame and nice non-slip rubber bottom to keep it in place while you grate. I finally found a grate with large grates. I like my hash browns to b a little larger than a cheese size grate. And by larger I mean 1/2” in size and a little thicker than a grate cheese thickness. Love it!! Read more
