First of all, it was much higher priced that other brands but 3M is a good company, I think, so I ponied up on the price. Then I bought a can of strips to test the water. I tested a bottle of water, water that passed thru this filter and tap water pre-filtered. The difference? In the bottled water the ph was different and there was another result that had to do with the hardness of the water that was different. But the water that passed THRU this filter and the water from the tap, both was the same on the strip. So that tells me that it doesn't filter either enough or at all. I would not purchase again.
