I like that this wrist wrap is comfortable and supportive. I got it for my college-age daughter who has some wrist tendonosis. She likes that it is fully adjustable (a combination of stretchy fabric plus velcro) to fit her small bone structure, yet it could easily be adjusted to fit a grown man with much larger wrists. The same feature also allows you to adjust the wrap to the right amount of tightness that you prefer. This wrist wrap holds a curved aluminum brace inside. The brace is lightweight and well padded for comfort, yet provides firm support. There are two padded pockets for the aluminum brace - one if you need to wrap your left wrist, and one for the right. I'm glad they are labeled left and right, as this is very helpful. You move the aluminum brace to the left or right pocket, depending upon which wrist you need to wrap. Moving the brace from pocket to pcoket is easy but getting the small top flap over the very top of the brace is kind of a pain. If you frequently need to wrap both wrists, it would be much more convenient to get two of these and leave one permanently on left and one permanently on right. However, moving the brace is not that big of deal if you only need to wrap either wrist occasionally. Moving the brace from pocket to pocket is doable, you just need to push the bracket down toward the bottom of the pocket while stretching the small flap over the top of the brace. I have not yet washed this brace but the box says it can be hand washed and air dried as long as you remove the aluminum brace first. Overall comfortable and supportive, fully adjustable to fit lots of people and to provide the tightness or looseness you prefer. Also allows the use of fingers while wearing it. Recommended. Sprained my wrist when drill torque got out of control boring a hole. I think it's a pretty deep sprain. No swelling. The wrist just gives out with a sharp pain in twisting motion. I've sprained and tore lots of tendons and ligaments but can't recall this sort of wrist sprain before. I wear an XL glove. The brace is an L. I could have used an XL, but the L seems to be working just fine though the palm velcro is strap just on the stick-um edge. So, I've been wearing this all day, hoping it recovers quickly. The aluminum plate keeps your hand from drooping on your wrist. The velcro straps and the plate combined keep the wrist reasonably immobilized. The Curad wrap is comfortable. Inside the brace, you move the aluminum plate between two inner pockets printed "L" and "R" depending on the sprained wrist. The brace arrived set up for the left hand. I wore it that way on my right hand before reading the instructions of course. The pressure points felt kinda strange which motivated me to sort around in the trash for the instructions. The problem was quickly resolved by moving the plate to the "R" slot. The brace is comfortable enough to sleep with. The sprain woke me up last night in my sleep. I'd contorted the wrist into a painful position over my head. I think the brace will keep that from happening. So far, so good. I am always skeptical when a product is advertised as “one size fits most,” but in this case, this claim was accurate. I am the primary caregiver for my 80-year-old mother who is quite tiny in size and suffers from arthritis in both wrists. It has been difficult to find her a wrist brace that could comfortably and effectively wrap around her 5.5” wrist. This Ironman wrist support, however, can be swathed to fit my mom’s wrist and best of all, she is able to secure the brace on her wrist by herself. My mom enjoys daily use of a desktop computer for hours, and since using the Ironman wrist brace, she stated that she “no longer experiences pain” in her wrist while directing the mouse. In addition, she now wears the wrist brace to bed and said that the brace “has reduced the numbness” she had typically suffered in her hands, after waking in the morning. I like to have a wrist brace handy for when I start having wrist pain due to not paying attention to working ergonomically. I don't need it very often, but when I do the brace forces me to keep my wrist in a more ergonomic position, and is a great help. This one is a little shorter than other braces I've used. I like that--it still works, but isn't as big. After using it for a week now it's comfortable, lightweight, easy to remove, looks good enough, and (best part) actually works. I've been using it in my office with no difficulties. This is a reversible brace: it can be used on the right or the left hand. I received it configured for use on the left, but needed it on my right. To reconfigure it is straightforward. Inside the brace are two pouches for the aluminum support. When you want to change hands, you remove it from the pouch it's in, and insert it into the pouch for the hand you want to wear it on. It's simple enough, but the pouches have slit openings that are narrower than the aluminum support, so getting it in and out takes some effort. If I needed to use a brace alternately on the right and left hands, I'd just get two and configure one for each hand. Read more
