I tried to install malwarebytes when i first got this laptop but the site would not load for me, it turned out that the .hosts file had EVERY single antivirus/antimalware site blocked from my access. A few hours after installing chrome my Amazon account was hacked, followed by my twitter/hoyoverse/spotify/youtube/gmail/telegram, as of now i have permanently lost my genshin and honkai accounts and a warning from youtube because the hacker posted fraudulent content. Money was stolen from my amazon but I was able to rectify that. After changing the .hosts file i was able to run a scan and find over 14 trojans, as well as both malware and spyware and I hadn't downloaded ANYTHING, I hadn't even had the computer for three (3) days. I contacted them for a refund and they want me to return their faulty product that I had to repair!! They blamed my network being hacked but I am one of four people in this household with computers and no only have we run network scans that come back clean, I am the ONLY one who's been hacked and it started a few hours after I received this laptop. BE WARNED. DO NOT RISK YOUR PRIVACY. Oh and the colors suck and can't be fixed. attached is the .hosts file listing every antimalware/spyware site so i was forbidden access to make repairs as well as a hitmanpro removal of the spyware.
