I have had this laptop for 2 weeks now, and I have to say. I really like this laptop. The display is crystal clear HD with sharp detail and the colors are spot on. I even like the finger print scanner and lighted keyboard as well. Only downside is I can't install a 2nd hard drive for storage, so I had to go and buy a external storage to connect to the USB C port. I also went and bought a USB 3 extension to add more USB 3 ports. The laptop seems as it comes with a 10 core Intel I5 CPU. I use this laptop for light gaming and streaming movies. Dell received within 24 hours from ordering. Pros: 1. Sleek design 2. Easy transition from work to home computer 3. 15” screen 4. Easy set up Cons: 1. Battery life maximum 2-3 hours when removed from power cord. TERRIBLE and does not make it very portable. 2. Does not include Microsoft Office or 365 so buyers need to consider that additional cost. Computer is great, easy to set up and transfer of all of my data was simple. There are easy to understand and follow tips/instructions as you do the setup! I'm writing this review with sheer disappointment about my recent Dell laptop purchase, and I want to make sure others are aware of the nightmare I've endured. The laptop, which was delivered on November 25th, initially seemed promising with its sleek design and lightweight build. However, any optimism quickly turned to frustration when the laptop suddenly died on January 4th, out of nowhere. No physical damage, no spills – it just stopped working. My work, dependent on this machine, came to a screeching halt. Dell's response was to replace the motherboard on Friday, January 5th. Great, right? Wrong. The laptop showed signs of life for the rest of the day but decided to die again on Monday. At this point, my patience was wearing thin. I sent the laptop to Dell's repair center for a thorough inspection. A week later, on January 11th, I received a call informing me that they had replaced the motherboard. Again. This is unacceptable for a work computer – the one I rely on daily to get things done. To add insult to injury, the laptop was stationary in my office and wasn't even in use over the weekend. My old Dell is a 2016 model, still going strong. Finally bought a this new one as a Christmas present for myself. Excellent & easy setup connecting my other devices, printer and iPhone. Smooth operation and fabulous color. No unwanted built in junk or apps. Dell laptops literally last for years & years! Always buy a DELL! Read more
Purchased this in September of 2023, so it has been used for almost two years. A decent computer, though a year in the shift key pad fell off, and now more recently, the power port is loose and the connection is intermittent. This later issue has rendered the laptop somewhat of a nuisance as it charges only if perfectly placed with cord plugged in. Any shifting and the laptop won't charge. For that reason, I am not giving it high marks. I know two years may seem the average lifespan of a computer and for what we paid, I guess we got decent use out of it, but I am now faced with another purchase.
