OK so this is my first Amazon purchase, and as an online student, I must admit that I am quite satisfied with the overall purchase and efficient service delivered. Firstly, it was so easy to setup and there were no issues whatsoever in switching from S-mode to Windows 10. The touchscreen was absolutely responsive, the screen display is superb, the keyboard has a great touch to it, great storage and the speed is very good as compared to my old laptop. The battery lasted for about 3 1/2 hours when I first got it, though I wish it could last a bit longer. The overall shopping experience was great and the product itself was definitely a great buy. I'm giving this review from the laptop I'm reviewing. I love this laptop....great specs. I'm not a gamer so, I can't rate that but, I am a developer and it's powerful enough for what I do in that area plus just everyday stuff. It's easy to use and I love the touchscreen feature. I will never go back. I was contemplating a laptop with a DVD option but, it would have greatly reduced my options and made the laptop thicker so, I opted to skip that option within the laptop and bought a Dell USB Slim DVD Drive and that works just great especially since who uses a DVD player/recorder that often any more. So, these 2 are what I got and they are both great...use them often everyday since I'm in an intensive training program right now. So, I am using the laptop extensively and DVD less so. This was a great decision. This computer meets my needs. I did my research and ruled out all the others...the fact that i got 15.6" touch screen and hi pixel plus long battery life! In addition to plug and play guided by cortana. I am looking ffwd to starting online classes and if this disappoints, i will post. It was delivered a day late, so i barely was able to make corrections to a doc i needed for an online mtg. Dell has excelled at laptops a long time, battery is good and computer is good solid unit and fairly fast. 5 stars if the battery would have been removeable. Non-removable batteries can be poor for the long run as battery life goes down with age, and if the computer locks (they al eventually do at some point), you cannot force a reboot without removing the battery. But, thus far, very good. I did not know the battery was non-removeable when I bought it or would have gotten a different model like this that did have one. Read more

We bought this for a student who is using it for remote tutoring. The tutoring system requires use of Chrome so we were concerned about the conversion from S-1 to Windows 10, but it worked seemlessly and we saw no performance issues thereafter. Had to use service tag to discover compatble locks and Nobles advised that this is compatible with: for the info!
