Got it as a gift love it . It's takes a little time to figure out how it works. For example :The coffee hopper must be locked in for it to work or the coffee machine will not grind .The descaling process is a little tricky ,but once you do it's not a big deal. I went on you tube , it has the info on this delonghi espresso machine. Love my espresso ,I recommend it . I would buy this machine . Just takes a little time to figure it out . This may be a very good espresso machine but don’t try to buy it “renewed”. The first one I received was missing a users guide, one of the feet on the machine and several parts. The box was barely ho,dong together but it was in the styrofoam packing. However, the replacement I received when I returned it was in even worse shape. Also had missing parts but it was not packed in its styrofoam so was juggling around in the box. Needless to say, the water reservoir was broken and there were plastic bits all inside the box from the breakage. Totally not usable-and even though i sent pictures of the damage, they made me return it. I didn’t buy another. Went to Best Buy where they had it for the same price (for a new one) and also with free shipping. Just an added note: I packed up both machines and when I went to print out the RMA, they had sent me one that was for drop off instead of pick up. I called customer service again and this agent told me to just throw out both machines and to not return them. They credited me the full amount. I thought I’d try to salvage one working machine from the 2 but neither one even worked correctly. I can’t figure out how these two machines were both sold to me -even at a discount. They were only $100 cheaper than a new one and for all the trouble, I’d gladly have paid full price for a new one that worked out of the box. So I've used a machine like this that actually works and it is amazing. Want to make an QUICK and amazing cup of espresso, but also want to feel like you participated in the process. This is your rig for all coffee/espresso. Not this rig is a beast. Make sure you have space. Easy, clean, not complicated and Tom's of fun to use. Now the rig I got from this HACK reseller was not refurbished. Leaked out the bottom every time I tried to use it. I bet they reshipped it the day they got it back. NOT REFURBISHED is what I'm trying to say. Not worth the cost savings. Buy a new one that can also be found on Amazon. Read more

The first machine arrived and would not pump water. called customer support and was told to return it. returned first broken and ordered again. The second machine pumps and heats water but the grind selector is broken so it will not grind beans. customer support is unavailable on the weekend so I'll wait and see if it's an easy fix but if not I will be buying a different product. I ordered a La Specialista Prestigio, and I got the old original La Specialista machine. Furthermore, the said "renewed/refurbished" machine is missing couple of items and completely dirty. It was not even clean. I agree with most of the reviews about the seller and this "item". Totally not worth the time, and the $200 a buyer is trying to save. Definitely but a brand new machine.
