If Terminator had a phone holder, this would be it. This is REALLY high quality metal, yes metal that feels really sturdy. If you're considering a phone holder that clamps to the 4Runner's climate vent, DON'T. That's how you'll break/bend the vent cover (ask me how I know...) The Diamooky Phone Holder feels custom made for the 4Runner for its unique dashboard and the clamp fits nice and snug on the inlet near the clock above the vents where they won't get damaged. The magnet has really good strength, but also is much easier to take on and off compared to a traditional phone holder that you manually clamp in every time you get in the car. My only, not even criticism, but idea that would be awesome addition as potential variant of this phone holder would be if it could have a wireless charger functionality, but that's not a a dealerbreaker for me as you can easily just wire the charge. I could not be happier with this car mount for my iPhone. I purchased the mount with charging capability and it came with a USB C to C cable. The mount is high quality construction made of aluminum and fits very secure; it's not coming loose. The ball that fits into the socket for adjusting the rotation and angle of the mount is slightly roughened, so it will not slip on rough roads at all. My phone is secure in the magnet as well. I can easily turn my phone portrait or landscape without adjusting the mount. In the past I have had many difference phone car mounts on the dash, windshield, cup holder, etc. This mount is far superior, great quality and well worth the $39. Read more

4Runner Owner here .. I enjoy having a low profile phone holder that does not block my stereo or view. However, I did not want to use a vent hook- phone holder because of the weight of my phone damaging the vents. After plenty of searches and not wanting to spend close to $40 on a phone mount, I ordered it! To my surprise, this is by far one of the most secure, sturdy, durable, easy to adjust and a must have for all 4runner owners! First of all the clasp is secured by 3m tape to the top of the air vent, 2nd- the clasp is secured by screwing the clasp until tighten to the dash/vent and third the phone mount and the magnet is adjustable and secured by twisting a screw until you have the perfect phone position. I tested this holder for several days without adhesive. To get it to stay on firmly, you definitely need to use the provided adhesive sticker along with the screw adjustment. However, the ball and screw joint frequently loosens, requiring a bit of finagling. Despite this drawback, among the many MagSafe holders available, this one is the most ideal for the Toyota 4Runner. Due to the 4Runner's narrow windshield height, most other options—including window suction mounts—tend to obstruct the driver's point of view (POV). Recommended. Read more

I decided I didn’t want the adhesive on my dashboard which wasn’t an issue, I kept the plastic cover over the sticky part and it still feels super stable - so I’d imagine when properly installed with the sticker then it wouldn’t go anywhere. I'm giving this a 5 star review as of my first few drives, and overall initial impressions of the product quality. All metal components, nice hardware and rubber mount/double sided tape. A 1.5 ft. cord is the perfect length to go to a USB adapter in the 12v cigarette lighter outlet on the dash when holding the phone vertically, see picture. I use the dedicated USB data port for a wireless android auto adapter. The magnet in this phone mount is strong, and I mean strong! It pulls your phone perfectly into position, and holds it there. It's so strong that it actually pulled the removable magnet out of my quad lock case, poor design on quad lock if you ask me, I have since super glued that magnet into the case. The magnet on my otter box case is built in, so I prefer that. One installation note I'll add is to put some blue loc-tite on the ball that threads into the upper dash bracket. It spun loose on my 1st attempt at removing the phone after my 1st test drive. No issues after adding the loc-tite. I would recommend this mount to every 4runner owner. Read more
