This works well if the end surfaces are flat otherwise putting it on a door jam is risky due to the different depths of trim pieces. Mine broke loose when I had my full weight on it resulting to fall awkwardly. A tripod connection works better. Read more

I purchased this doorway pull-up bar based on the listed 400-pound weight capacity, which on paper should have comfortably supported me, as I weigh around 300 pounds. The bar itself appears well-made, and the pressure-mounted, no-drill design is very appealing—especially for renters or anyone trying to avoid wall damage. Unfortunately, in actual use, the bar did not feel secure. During a simple dead hang (no swinging or dynamic movement), the bar began to shift within 10 seconds, and I could hear stress at the contact points with the door frame. Because pressure-mounted bars rely heavily on the structure of the doorway, this raised concerns about both safety and potential damage to the wall, so I chose to return it rather than risk injury or cracking the frame. I want to be clear that this may not be a defect with the product itself. Door frame construction, wall materials, trim, and studs likely play a big role in how well a pressure-mounted system performs. However, based on the advertised capacity, I expected the bar to sustain my weight more confidently under static load. Overall, this is a thoughtfully designed product that may work well for lighter users or homes with extremely solid door frames. For those closer to the upper end of the stated weight limit, I would recommend proceeding with caution or considering a mounted or alternative solution. Read more
The grips are too close together, meaning chin-ups are fine but pull-ups are very uncomfortable. The adjustability was hard to figure out but does have a large range, secures to the wall very well and the level that comes with it is super handy. I just wish the handle grips were wider or like 6 inches further apart. Doesnt seem like much but a game changer if you use it a lot. Feels high quality, and once you get it set up its sturdy Read more
