Nothing short of amazing. But remember it’s about BTUs with heaters. You are talking 5200 here. A round kerosene heater is 23,800 BTUs. So if you need that level of heat I suggest kerosene over this. This is supplemental heat. Take the chill off. It’s not meant to heat your whole house like a kerosene heater would or your gas furnace. Kerosene also will work when your power goes out in SHTF situations whereas you probably don’t want to waste 1500 watts of generator power on this heater unless you absolutely have to. So this tiny heater at only 1500 watts puts out some serious heat IMO. Park it 15-20 ft from you, set it to 68 on eco with the oscillator on and you’ll be thinking about shorts in half an hour. The thing is amazing IMO. Online sites say this can heat a room anywhere from 400sq ft to 1000 depending on whom you believe. I’m not sure about 1000, but it’s a lot closer to 1000 than 400. If you are going for 1000 have a fan to move that warm air around and don’t think this little box will magically do it for you. A home HVAC system has registers all around for that same reason. Distribute the air! Build quality. Wow. It’s not cheap. I mean it’s particle board and plastic, but it’s quality. Nice wheels on it. Nice display. Nice remote. Even comes with batteries which I never use because I don’t trust batteries included with products, but I am sure they are ok. Humidifier works wonderfully. Not sure about reviews claiming it leaks. Did you read the directions? Put in BOTH O rings??? Remember to use distilled water. I can’t speak to longevity yet, but I have read reviews of these getting very high up in years. I’m impressed. The keys with this unit IMO are: 1. The fan. It blows the heat and gets it out into the room. 2. Oscillation. I’m sure that makes a big difference because it’s spreading the heat around. Bonus if you stop it the fins stay pointed in whatever direction you stopped it at. 3. Eco mode. It stops and starts nicely. That will save you some dough ray me. I was worried about the reviews and if you are too don’t be. IMO it’s a winner, but remember it’s 5200 BTUs. Read more

Best small heater I’ve purchased. This is the 2nd one. The 1st one I bought in 2013, & it just stopped working. Heats up a whole room easily. Haven’t tried to use the humidifier. Looks nice. I would recommend. Somewhat quiet. Easy to move since it is on rollers. Safe around toddlers Read more

This is an extremely effective heater for the small size. The wood cabinet is beautifully finished and the build of the entire unit is very sturdy. The ease of mobility with the casters makes this highly portable. It is not heavy and can be lifted just as easily. The remote control and features including an eco option make this an energy-conscious option. The sides and back do not disperse heat making this safer than I previously thought. All the heat is generated in the front and can be felt four feet away. I was impressed. This is an excellent value for such an effective heater. Read more

I've tried three different infrared heaters over the past month. The first was a $400 Comfort Furnace I purchased at Tractor Supply. I just couldn't justify keeping it (I needed two) when I could return it and buy two on Amazon for the price of one Comfort Furnace. Here are the reasons I love this heater: -It has a great oscillating option which helps move the heat around the room more efficiently. -Option to view on the display the temp at which you set the unit, or the room temp. I find this very handy when I'm wondering what the temp is and when it might cut off. -Low and High. Low uses half the wattage but doesn't compromise on the heat. The heat is so warm you can barely hold your hand in front of the output register for more than a couple of seconds. The other heaters I tried were blowing warm air on their low setting. -Well constructed. -Not super quiet but not noisy. A low, unobtrusive humming. I have this in about a 700 sq ft space and have it set on "low" 60 so it is running fairly constantly. The auto temp is working however because I noticed last night it did cut off several times after reaching and maintaining my requested temperature, which is great. Unfortunately, the humidifier leaked hence the four star rating. I contacted Amazon and they are sending me a replacement. Once I receive the replacement I will send this back (as to not go without heat I'm so happy they could do this for me). I read several other reviews stating the humidifier leaked/didn't work properly. I will report back once I receive the replacement. I'm really hoping I will receive a unit that has a working humidifier because I plan on using this feature a lot (and putting drops of essential oils into my water bottles). Stay warm! UPDATE - ok so the replacement unit humidifier did not work either so I returned that one, too. The heater worked so great so I thought I would try one more time. The third replacement had a working humidifier! You can tell right away if it is going to leak. Find the plastic bottle adapter that best fits your bottle size/shape. Fill the bottle with water, screw on the adapter/top and hold it upside down. If there is ANY water dripping from the bottle, it will leak once you place it into the humidifier holder. I really wanted this product to work because I diffuse essential oils and thought I could place a few drops of essential oils into the water bottle and the humidifier would diffuse the scent into the air. In retrospect, after all of the return hassles, I wish I would have bought the one without the humidifier and used the extra money to buy a nice diffuser. Lesson learned. I still stand my my review that this is an excellent heater. I ran two all winter as my primary heating source and my electric bill only increased by $30.00 per month. One more thing - some infrared heater makers advise placing the unit on a sturdy tabletop or desk for larger areas. I found the unit to be significantly more efficient in my large areas while placed directly on the floor. Read more
