This 400w heater is pretty good if you have a good enclosure to put it in. I built an insulated metal/wood doghouse that is XL wire crate sized 48” deep, 32” tall and 30” wide. It was 4°F open air and this heater kept the dog house between 36.6°F and 41.2°F (fridge/freezer wireless thermometer). I rely on this little heater to keep the dog safe in the weather when he’s out and refuses to come inside. Those with GSD and other dogs like them will understand. This heater kept it much more comfortable than the alternative. Chew resistant wiring and two-setting plug switch made this much better. Plugged into a double GFCI outlet made it redundantly safe. This thing barely puts out any heat. I bought this for my son and DIL's dog house because they go outside when the littles are taking their nap. I went over there today and checked it out.
