We needed a tall stand so we could get a drinking glass under the spigot. A 6-in. stand isn't tall enough, so we decided to get this taller 8-in. stand and it works great. We also like the full round feet on this stand. It is sturdy, and seems to be pretty stable too. The non-slip coating on the feet won't scratch or slide around on our slick countertop. The media could not be loaded. I use this for my AlexaPure gravity filtration system. It is about the same size as the berkly. Fits easily on the stand, with some room to spare, I did not have to remove the rubber ring on the bottom, like I saw mentions on a few other reviews. Assembling was pretty simple, you have to gently squeeze the pins together and slide them into the base. They naturally spring back apart which makes them stay in place even when you pick up the stand. I thought that was rather clever. The rubber feet on the bottom are slightly annoying that that are large round and have a hole in the middle, would rather solid so nothing drips or spills. They do keep the stand from sliding or scratching the counter surface though so that's a plus. Overall a reasonably sturdy stand, has some minor wobbles, as show in the video, I recently filled this and it is currently filtering so it is a little top heavy. You would have to hit the stand with reasonable force to knock it over. Solid purchase would recommend. Read more

I love it that I can now fill my tea pot and glasses without holding them sideways under the spout, invariably spilling some. Perfect operation. Perfect price. However, The back leg becomes detached if I lean it forward It isn't big enough to be able to use rubber on bottom of Berkey, but that's ok, you dont really need it. Price is super, comparatively.
