This vacuum is unreal. We vacuum almost every day (sometimes multiple times a day) with a dog that sheds like crazy, not to mention we like to spend time in the yard. We are in and out of our house constantly, tracking in leaves, dirt, etc. This vacuum has made our lives so much easier. We can easily vacuum our entire 1800 square foot home in 20 minutes. The attachments are a great addition, especially the clip that allows you to carry two attachments on the vacuum itself. It's just a super versatile machine and is great for vacuuming your car. I also really love that the attachments fully come apart so you can clean everything thoroughly. The design of this machine is just ingenious. It's also pretty quiet for such a powerful vacuum. This is the first vacuum we've owned that our dog didn't hate! I will say it is quite heavy for a cordless vacuum, which doesn't bother us but may bother someone with mobility issues. Read more

I cannot say enough good things about this Dyson vacuum (and other dyson products). I was hesitant to spend the money but it's worth every dime. For starters, it comes with so many attachments based on your style of cleaning. The smooth head with the laser is so handy when using the vacuum over tile and wood. It does a good job of showing where the dust particles are. I have ran this into so many appliances and furniture, not a dent. My favorite part is the head that removes hair. I can vacuum for 30 minutes and not have a single piece of hair in it. The machine chargers quickly and then from there runs forever. Highly recommend making the investment for good, quality cleaning. Read more

This vacuum is magical. I have had a shark for 10+ years. We decided to splurge on the Dyson and it was worth it. The first thing to note is this comes with a ton of attachments for literally anything you need, babydoll. I started with the smaller swivel head that has the green light for the hardwood flooring. I began on the medium setting and it was more than enough power to take care of the dog hair and dust without having to go over the same spot twice. The screen gave 30 min of runtime on this setting. The big test was going to be using it on my bedroom carpet and it passed with flying colors. I did feel like I needed to use it on the strongest power setting, which gave me 10 minutes of runtime. Thankfully, this comes with two batteries so completing the entire second floor of carpeting will be no problem. Emptying the vacuum feels like I'm firing a really cool plastic bazooka and it's one of my favorite parts of the whole process. My only complaint is that you have to press the trigger in order for it to remain running. You are not able to just click it on or off. It's a price I'm willing to pay. Read more

TL;DR This vacuum failed after just 2.5 years of light use, and extensive troubleshooting made it clear that the only remaining fix is an expensive core replacement, which feels unacceptable for the price point. Product usage and failure: This vacuum was purchased about 2.5 years ago and used in a small household with one person and one pet, so the usage has been light to normal for a cordless machine. It performed very well until roughly three weeks ago, when it suddenly shut down mid‑clean with the LCD going black, then would only power on for ~3 seconds before cutting out again, even on a full charge. Troubleshooting steps taken (part 1): Before reaching out for support, every reasonable step was taken to rule out simple issues. •Swapped in a second, fully charged battery and confirmed the charger lights indicated both batteries were healthy. •Power‑cycled the vacuum by removing the battery for a few minutes, then retesting in case of a minor software or control‑board glitch. •Completely emptied and cleared the bin, inlet, wand, neck, and cleaner head so that all air passages and cyclones were visibly unobstructed. •Washed and fully dried the pre‑filter according to the manual before reinstalling and testing again. Troubleshooting steps taken (part 2) Manufacturer support response: Support was contacted with the serial number and a clear description of the issue: fully charged battery, black screen, and the machine shutting down after ~3 seconds of runtime. After working through their scripted troubleshooting, nothing improved, and the only explanation given was that the unit was outside the standard 2‑year cordless warranty, so no repair or goodwill replacement would be offered. The only option presented was purchasing a new main body/cyclone assembly at roughly the cost of $350, which essentially means buying the heart of the machine again just 2.5 years after the original purchase. Troubleshooting steps taken (part 3): In an effort to avoid throwing away such an expensive product, the vacuum was completely disassembled down to individual components using precision screwdrivers, a process that took several hours and multiple trips for tools. Every part was thoroughly cleaned, left to dry overnight, and then reassembled, yet the exact same behavior persisted the next day: black screen and shutdown after ~3 seconds of operation. Overall assessment At this point, the most likely culprit appears to be a failed control board/PCB or related internal electronics, which are not realistically user‑serviceable. For a premium vacuum at this price point, a major, non‑repairable failure after only 2.5 years of light use, and a support experience that offers only an expensive core‑part purchase, feels extremely disappointing and erodes confidence in the brand.
