ELDEN RING NIGHTREIGN PS5 Standard Edition

It's Elden Ring meets Monster Hunter meets Fortnite. If you love any FromSoft game, you'll get a kick out of this. Having played so many FromSoft games previously, I was very reluctant to try this new style, but it is amazing and very addictive. Honestly my biggest complaint is there is no way to communicate within the game. The only thing that could be remotely considered is the map pin-point system, or the emotes. So having a friend or a discord community to play with is more ideal if you're not planning on doing solo runs. Read more

Nightreign is fun as long as you understand that it is not just more Elden Ring. Elden Ring (and other games) are the theme and base mechanics, but it's very different. As a longtime FromSoft fan, this game was a bit overwhelming at first. The speed of it was a shock, because I generally take my time and poke around in every corner of the map. Nightreign isn't that kind of game. You have to plan on the fly and prioritize objectives. But now I'm enjoying the loop because it's a great challenge. RNG can be cruel and it can be kind, and often times success or failure hinges on such things, but that's what keeps it interesting. Nothing like popping an Ancient Dragon out of an Evergaol on day 1! The different classes all play very differently and the remembrance system is a good one to encourage people to not just main one class. Class balance is a factor to some degree but it depends on the nightlord in question. There's no rigid meta (yet) and it was a great idea to not enable in-game chat. Also a great idea to punish rage-quitters with a cooldown, although I think it is too heavy handed when there are network errors. Gameplay wise my two biggest complaints are the way the resurrection bars are inaccurately represented (3 bars isn't 3x the effort of 1 bar) and the fact that shifting earth notifications disappear after beating the last boss. This is the worst souls game period I’ll be very surprised if anything good ever comes out of this franchise in foreseeable future They basically used beats and pieces of original Elden ring and turned it into mindless race for time where in the end you lose pretty much all of your progress and then start at the beginning There’s no lore Forget about planning exploring stealth strategies and fun Save your money Read more
