These things BREAK, and are unreliable...they make coffee, until they don't
These little coffee machines make great coffee, fit on my limited counter space and don't set me back an arm and a leg. Problem is, they KEEP BREAKING (and I keep buying them, anyway, go figure!), and even when they quit working within the 1 year warranty, the manufacturer WILL NOT HONOR THE WARRANTY, not without me either sending the pot back, OR, and this is priceless: Me making a VIDEO of the coffeemaker simply NOT WORKING. Nothing to see, just a coffemaker that no longer makes coffee! Not worth my time, and frankly, people, these coffeemakers are not worth YOUR MONEY...or mine. So, it is my fault I keep buying these cheap little machines, and it is mostly because they are small, and fit into the limited space on my kitchen counter, but they are NOT BUILT WELL, and the company that makes them does not want to honor their warranty, so they make the customer jump through hoops to fulfill their list of requirements for sending you a new one, or giving you a refund. I have bought a number of these same machines over many years now, having to replace them for various reasons. This last time, the interior began leaking water, and having a burnt odor, so, I tossed it, and bought another one, just like it. The time before that, and the time before that (can you tell I keep buying these unreliable, DEFECTIVE, shoddily-built coffeemakers?), they simply stopped working entirely. So, I have to question my sanity that I have bought so many of these cheap, defective, prone-to-breakage coffeemakers, but I would advice you NOT DO AS I HAVE DONE, so you do not have to, 1.) have your coffeemaker break all the sudden, 2.) Not have to deal with their abyssmal customer service staff you are simply trained to not honor the warranty, and 3.) Become frustrated like I have done, and after reading this review, if you go ahead and buy one...not my fault anymore. You were warned...I told you so, buy something from a more reliable manufacturer, or at least someone who is more likely to send you a new coffeepot when yours breaks. If you need to replace the filter, a Mr. Coffee one fits perfectly and is easy to find online. I would like to congratulate the manufacturer for hearing our complaints about the carafe almost always dripping when we tried to pour water, or coffee, and they seem to have altered the design of the spout to not do this anymore! For my money, I would rather buy a new one of these inexpensive, small, perfect coffeemakers every few years, than pay a lot more money for another brand. Read more
