This is my second single serve compact hot beverage maker. My first one was used 4 to 5 times every single day. I loved it so much that after it it turned one year old, I told my husband I would buy it again if it broke down today. Well, that little water heater lasted over two years! What a bargain for such convenience. The only thing that failed was the little push button switch. So, this compact hot beverage maker heats water FAST. It has one simple push button to start and it automatically shuts off. It comes with a reusable screen mesh basket that works well with coffee grounds or tea. It has a very small footprint on the kitchen counter and is easy to keep clean and new looking for its lifetime. I have no comment on the included travel cup. I never used it. Read more

This machine rules!! I waited 6 months to post this review to see if it would still be impressing me and it is! Works perfectly still. For such a cheap coffee maker it’s amazing. It’s durable so far! Overall this thing is awesome and makes you a hot and quick cup of coffee. the tumbler is still working well (though I only hand wash it). User notes: Make sure to give it some time after making coffee before opening the lid. It will shoot steam at you if you open it too soon. Cleaning it is so easy! I pour a cup of half vinegar and half water in and run it. Once it runs I use that to wipe everything down. then I run it twice more with clean water and it’s all good. I recommend leaving the top open or cracker between uses to dry better. Also i’ll use the tumbler then pour into a cup since the cup splashes a lot more than the tumbler. I will say the cup is a very specific size so if you’re looking for a replacement the sizing can be tough. Read more

It’s so inexpensive, and it quickly makes a good cuppa. I set it up at night, and just push the button in the morning! This is the 3rd one I’ve purchased in somewhat over a year. Still a good buy. Cleaning is difficult. There is coffee sludge in the water tank after a while. I guess thats normal. I can’t get my hand in there to clean it out. Today I took it into my garden and used the hose on a hard spray and was able to remove it. With all of them after a short time it starts shutting off before it’s completed. I put the cup under the spout and push the button again. On one it started to make electrical sounding noise, so I tossed it. I tossed the second one also. I really like it, except for the electrical issue, and when my current coffee maker goes, I guess I’ll get another. I used this a few times so I can give an honest review. The one big negative for me is temperature. This does not make a HOT cup of coffee. It isn’t at a to hot to drink temp. Because of that, half way through the cup it’s basically just warm. It’s not hot like a percolator, French press or a 12 cup drip coffee maker. One of the reasons could be that there is no warming plate where the cup sits. I used my own ceramic cup and warmed it but that didn’t help. That being said, this temp could be perfect for others. The cup it came with: It says the inside is stainless steal. I have doubts that it is. When you tap your finger on the inside it sounds like the outside, plastic. Maybe a very thin coating of stainless? I used the cup once and it puts a plastic taste to the coffee. It also is so light weight that it may not have any insulation on the inside. The craftsmanship is ok. It’s very thin. The filter basket is a bit flimsy but the mesh material seems tough and sturdy. I think the basket itself would break before the mesh would. It’s very easy to use and clean. I almost wish I didn’t buy this one and got something higher end because of the temp issue. (No way to know it’s not to my liking before hand) When I want one cup of coffee mid day, I didn’t want to mess with an entire larger volume coffee maker. Those really aren’t made to make one cup. Update: still 5 stars for the price you can’t go wrong. That large baskets allows you to personalize your own measurements. Yep, I would buy it again. Easy and simple. Hot coffee. Nice large and easy to remove and easy rinse basket and then right back where it belongs. Note: Just remember to wait the 3 minutes between brew time before opening the lid cover. Note that it is not built for pods (fine with me as pods are not eco friendly anyway). Build quality is iffy but it works for me at that price until it doesn’t. Oh and great tasting, hot coffee. Product good overall. It functions as advertised. I'm returning it because it is too small and too lightweight for countertop causing it to move all around when trying to use it. I even tried using a non-skid pad underneath it and it still moves around. It makes one cup of coffee at a time, and the coffee maker is very hot afterwards. If you have a guest and need to make them a cup, you have to wait at least 20 minutes for the coffeemaker to cool down before you can use it again. Read more
