I drink my coffee slowly while reading the news and it always gets cold about half way. I ordered the Ember Coffee Cup and it’s really convenient! A little expensive but I think it’s worth it. You do have to put it back on the charging plate before the next morning for it to be ready but that’s not really inconvenient. Don’t wet the bottom of the cup or you may ruin the contacts. My husband and I love our coffee! We recently visited a hotel where these cups were in the room. We fell in love with how they kept the coffee hot. The cups are well designed and easy to hold. I ordered two while on our trip to arrive for my husband’s birthday today. He was so excited to receive them. I'm really happy with my Ember coffee cup with lid that stays warm for hours!! Realized I am a coffee sipper vs. gulper so this was just what I needed. I know no longer need to walk back and forth to reheat in the microwave so my mornings seem more relaxing as I catch up on the news, etc. Great product for the price. It comes with extra tabs for sipping thru lid. Read more

I’ve tried a couple other Smart mugs that didn’t offer an app so your range of temperature control was limited to Basically low medium and high at 130 135 and 140. The one Smart mug, I had prior to this one had almost an identical charging system on the bottom, but the mug was noticeably, lesser in quality and plastic as opposed to this nice sturdy mug post had similar ability to maintain temperature heat from cold, but Ember just did it better for not much more cost. 10 ounces is slightly small and would prefer the 14 ounce mug, especially when thinking of keeping a drink at a perfect temp for a long period of time having a larger drink to make use of that function would make more sense. What I really like about it is I am a person that can’t handle extremely hot temperatures. I have a lower threshold than most peoples tolerances so things my wife finds to be a great temperature. I find scalding with a standard mug or even a double insulated mug I usually find that a drink is usually either too hot or when it reaches a temperature I can enjoy it at, it ends up getting cold too quickly so for me, Ember is perfect for maintaining a temperature that I enjoy and safely prevent overheated drinks from causing scalding. The mug will let the drink drop in temperature until it reaches your setting and will indicate overheated versus desired temp. Read more
