This is a great quality thermometer. It holds up perfectly to oven temperatures, is accurate and sturdy. The one thing I dislike is that the probe/needle twists freely. This means I have to recalibrate it in boiling water before every single use, and be sure not to twist the thermometer when it's in the meat. I've forgotten many times and had to recalibrate halfway through making something, which gets old fast. Still giving it 4 stars because of the quality. Read more

Sadly, the dial never moved to record any temperature. I was concerned reading the reviews and thankfully bought a digital back up thermometer which was able to record temperature. I wanted a thermometer that I could leave in my roast so I would not have to open oven. I ended up returning this stainless steel oven one. Read more
