Works amazingly well. The fan is very powerful on full blast, and it cools down my bedroom very quickly. I don't think it would be great for a large open space as it is quite small, but for a bedroom or office space it is perfect. I can't speak for the longevity of the machine, as of yet, but it really does pack a punch. I only need to have it on for a short time to cool down my room for a while. Shipping was quick, too. The remote control is nice too so I don't have to get out of bed to turn it on/off or change the temp/mode. It is a decent price. Not the cheapest unit, but not overpriced by any means. Amazing product. Light weight and easy ro move around. Love that it can be moved room to room easily. The only problem is draining it. It's not very user friendly to drain. Either have to take it outside to drain the a/c water once it gets full, or have to run the hose to a bucket for Dry mode. I love the sleep mode, it runs a lot quieter but still creates some white noise. The timer feature is the beat feature for me. I can set it for a couple hours and go to work knowing it has shut off at the end. I also love the automatic feature so it shuts off at the set temp rather than continuing to run like my others do. I'm reading the instructions and assembling it now. I did not understand before I bought it that I would need to drain water from the appliance. Apparently the water container will fill up and the appliance will display "FL". I have no idea how often this happens yet since I just got it but if I had known this, I don't think I would have bought the appliance. We originally ordered this with plans to use it in our sunroom. However, the central AC unit in our home went out and we are currently using this in our primary bedroom. What a difference it makes! It’s not super noisy, no more than a fan would be. We haven’t had any leakage. Installation was simple but the plastic sliding piece didn’t fit our window quite right, it’s a narrow window, so we had to alter that a bit. It’s small enough to be out of the way in our room but big enough to keep us cool! I’ve been very impressed with the quality and function and very thankful we had this while we wait on hvac repairs. We work from home and have a lot of equipment in one small room in the house. It’s also facing the sun during the day and unfortunately we don’t have any choice. Instead of blasting the central AC throughout the floor, we’ve been able to use this to give a little boost to our workspace. It’s moderately loud, but not overly distracting. We do turn it off during meetings, though. Recently our home AC stopped working upstairs during a week when it was over 90 degrees out and we couldn’t get anyone to come out to the house for four days. I don’t know what we would have done without this unit. It cranked along, day and night, and kept us at a temp we could at least sleep in until we could get the main unit fixed. We had to cut 8 inches off of the sliding arm of the window kit, to fit our 29 inch window. I think it’s far too big for most homes and I wish there were three sizes of extensions in the kit. Would make more sense than having to cut the one, plus then you could use it different windows as needed. I believe it’s so long because you can also use it vertically, but that’s probably the lesser used scenario. -Shortest length without extender= 26.6 inches -Shortest length with UNCUT extender= 37.75 If you’re anywhere in between you’ll need to cut the extender. Overall we’re happy with the unit. It’s fairly easy to move because of the wheels (but very heavy to lift) and compact too, so it will be easier to store than a window unit. Read more
