I love it, was a Christmas present Read more
This 20 Bar Professional Espresso Coffee Maker with Grinder looks really nice. The description says it is stainless steel, it’s not, it’s plastic. For the price, it really should be stainless steel. As for function, it does make a good cup of coffee. There a 30 different settings for the grinder, I’m still working through those, but you can definitely taste the high quality of using whole bean freshly ground coffee. The coffee maker heats up fast, is louder than regular coffee makers, but it brews so quickly. It is easy to set up, and with some trial and error, you can make a Barista style cappuccino in the comfort of your own home. The high pressure steam wand makes the best foam milk I’ve ever tried. And if you are just looking for some hot water, it comes out of the milk steamer, so no more coffee flavored hot water! With 20 different options, and easy to operate smart touch screen, anyone can make a professional style coffee right in their own kitchen. I did remove 1 star because of the plastic components, it would have looked much nicer with stainless. Read more

Great ! And very simple to use and saves time Read more
This is my first ever espresso machine and so I was a little intimidated when I ordered it. I had thought maybe I'd just start with a little single-cup espresso maker and then sort of work my way up - then I thought: in for a penny, in for a pound. Glad I changed my mind! The maker arrived packed tight and solid, well -protected in a study box. All contents were accounted for - I was ready to get going! Now, to be fair: making espresso isn't quite as plug-and-play as a drip coffee maker, percolator, or even a French press - but it was about 5 minutes between unboxing / assembly and my first cup of Joe. This machine is, simply put, not hard to use. I read the instructions, but once you get the gist of those instructions, making espresso is second nature. Make sure you have the right cup in the portafilter, grind your beans, put the portafilter in the dinglehopper (I am still learning the name for these things!) and push the appropriate button. You have choices, but they are not complicated, and mostly amount to "single or double." For all the to-do about getting the cream exactly right, about making sure your grind is perfect, about looking for runnels or divots in your puck, it's pretty hard to mess this up so bad that your coffee is undrinkable. Follow the basic instructions and you are all set! I'm still trying to get my foam right, but that's neither here nor there. So the machine is easy to use, easy to clean, provides storage for its parts, and is a sturdy hunk of machine. I do, as another poster remarked, find the description of this as a "steel" unit a bit misleading. Steel colored? Yes. But MOST of this unit is plastic with only a few exceptions (the grate, the barrel of the steamer wand, the rim of the front plate, etc). A minor thing, in my estimation. I mean, I've *seen* other espresso / cappucino machines and frankly the all metal ones cost about a billion dollars, so let's manage our expectations. The water reservoir and grinder hopper are both quite generous - With two more-or-less daily espresso drinkers in the house, we refill the tank and hopper less than once a week. We were concerned with leaving water standing for too long, but the tank removes easily for cleaning - no worries. There are some "hidden" features that I am still exploring, stuff that's described more thoroughly in the manual, but at present I'm just thrilled I can make the recipes in the included book: espresso, capuccino, cafe cubano, flat white - all the coffee shop specials...but in the comfort of my own home and, in the long run, at a fraction of the price! (Oh, a note bout value: at 300 dollars or so, this seems like a big investment, but when you realize that a simple espresso drink at most coffee shops runs at least 2-3 dollars, and MORE at that one big supermega corporate chain, you can see how this evens out over time. Realistically, a cappucino at a coffee shop costs me anywhere from 6-10 dollars. I don't mind paying it if I'm going out for a treat, meeting friends, or what have you...but for a quick caffeine fix or if I want a luxurious coffee drink on a lazy weekend? This is a steal!) This all in one powerhouse features a built in grinder with 30 adjustable settings, allowing you to go from fine espresso to coarse drip with ease, and the upgraded anti clogging chute ensures a mess free, smooth grind every time.
