From my point of view, installation on this dash cam takes a little bit more than regular dash came, so you have to remove mirror cover and plug all the cords and reinstall this camera. However, the resolution on it's lens is crystal clear which you can easily read license plates number from 15_20 ft. In addition, it has turning on/off or taking pictures in emergency situations on the cam. Furthermore, the rear camera needs to be wired up all the way to the back and still has a great quality.
