I received these brand new boots in the mail and immediately tried them on. I wear a 9.5 in Frye flats, riding boots and low-almost no heel short round toe boots. I purchased a 10 in these cute booties bc the toe box looked narrow and there was a bit of a heel involved too. Needless to say, they fit like a glove! They are so comfortable, the heel is hardly noticeable when walking. The boots feel custom made, with arch support inside. I can't wear them with a real cotton sock like sneakers but pantyhose and light sock liners will do just fine. They look so cute. I am 5'10" and the boots look too cute, not long or I'll fitting at all!! I bought the basil colored ones, they pair well with dark skinny jeans, a fun dress or a skirt and sweater. When I saw these boots on a friend, I knew I had to have them. They are such a beautiful color, similar to the patina of an aged penny that has a little bit of the shine left. The boots start out a little narrow, but I like that. As the leather loosens up, it allows for a custom fit. The sides have elasticized gussets, so the breaking in is quick and painless (maybe 3-4 wearings). You can tell the construction is high quality. They'll last forever. They even smell good. Perfect thing for a casual dress or my favorite jeans. It was a splurge, but given how long I'll have them and how much I like them, I'm so glad I went for it. Read more
These boots are beautiful! A few notes though: (1) I am a true 7.5 and I ordered a 7.5. It was very tight around the toes and the ball of my foot. I had to return because of sizing. (2) They are pretty slim at the top of the boot. Your options for styling are definitely dresses, cuffing your jeans, or under flares. It looked a little silly with skinny jeans tucked in. I was disappointed because that was a look I was going for. (3) The bottom is a little slippery. I’m a little worried that the grip isn’t enough to keep a person from falling on slick floors. I have never owned a "nice" pair of leather boots. These are craft boots that will keep your feet comfy and protected. I really like these a lot. It was hard to justify spending this much on a pair of boots, but the quality really makes them worth it. Love the boots - they are beautiful but had to return for a size 6... the 6.5 was too roomy and I feared after wearing them over time they’d stretch and they’d be too Loose and clunky... I’m always in between sizes but don’t understand how anyone could say they fit snug or are too narrow because I’ve got pretty wide feet! I bought my first pair of Frye boots over 20 years ago. They are still excellent boots, I wear them often. Never needed to re-sole them. I bought this pair because of how happy I have been with my original pair. I've had these boots less than 8 months and the sole is already given out. So disappointed. Read more
