These boots are top quality, sturdy leather with a beautiful finish. I ordered my normal size 9 my feet aren’t considered wide, but when I got these and first put them on, they pinched my little toes, they felt a little narrow. So I used my shoe/boot stretcher on them both for 24 hours and now they are just right. I have worn them several times and the more I wear them the more they break in and the leather gets a little bit softer, so be patient when you first get them. These boots should last you your entire life! What I love about this model is they are shorter and have an inside zip so they’re easy on and off but they still have the harness. So glad I finally purchased these! Read more
Very nice boots. I saw that other reviewers had difficulty putting them on, I did not experience this. I did see that the harness has a snap on the side next to the zipper which allows the zipper to reach the bottom of its run. This gives plenty of room to slip my foot in. My only negative comment is that, like many other boot brands, there is no arch support and the insole is not removable. Read more
These boots are a little tight, I tried them on with thicker socks (it's the ONLY socks I have right now to wear). They do need a breaking in period, but Frye boots are absolutely amazing! This leather is a little stiffer than my other Frye boots. But it will wear in, in time. Can't wait to wear these over the fall weather! And it was a great price to! You can't beat what I paid! I'm so happy I ordered these while I could before the price went back up. Love Frye! Read more

The only thing I loved about these boots were the style, color and quality. But everything else is very poorly designed and not comfortable at all. They are super tight and leather is very stiff. (it’s the correct size for my foot and I have a thin foot.) There’s an inch above the toes that remind me of a witch’s boot, very narrow and make your foot look longer than they are. They are very difficult to put on. You have to ware very thin socks. When I walk it slips off the back of my heel and rubs. I am so disappointed in this design and waste of money. Read more
Love these. I ordered my normal size and totally have room for socks. When I first tried them on, the instep was too low and I could barely force my foot into it. When I got my foot into it, it actually felt fine. When I tried to get my foot out, it was difficult. I used some boot stretchers that had a little instep stretcher for a week, and they were perfect. I suppose if I just kept forcing my foot in and wearing them, the leather would have eventually come around. But 1 week in the stretcher, and they're perfect and super comfy. I have plantar faccitis, and for some reason, I only seem to get away with wearing specific running shoes, birks, or any one of my Frye boots when I'm on my feet all day! Read more
The (no longer available) Frye Ray harness with a Western toe was my very favorite bootie for several years and I purchased them a couple of times. They were perfect for me in every way. I thought I’d try this cute clunky lug that also has the harness detail even knowing the style was very different. They are cute and well made, more a moto style, and the toe is thicker and more round than the photo appears to be. I took a star off because they seemed to stretch out quickly, like after I wore them 3 times, allowing my foot to slide around which I personally find uncomfortable. I’m hoping the right sock helps with that. I did order a half size up as recommended and feel like my regular size could have worked better given the amount they stretched. Traction should be good on wet winter ground. Read more
I love the moto look boots and these are perfect. The leather is a deep black and the boots are so attractive. The price was outstanding for these quality boots as they definitely are made as if they are handcrafted. Read more
