GE JES1145SHSS 1 1 Cu Ft Capacity Countertop Microwave Oven

Very happy with this microwave. Quality of item appears to be very good compared to other brands I reviewed in local stores. Has all the features and functions (and more) then needed. Price was reasonable for a stainless steel appliance of a mid range power microwave. Did not want a small one, but also did not want a large one too, so good size for our family of 4. I searched long and hard before buying this online. Had gone to 4-5 local stores and everything appeared to be cheap quality, over priced, unknown brand name etc. I wanted something that would match the other appliances and could be proud to have in the kitchen and looked good. I originally bought a different brand item and the whole side panel vibrate and made a horrible noise when on. Took it back for a refund. The second microwave lasted a month after a family member put a metal item in oven and killed it!!! Got tired of driving around with limited choices, so found GE item here. GE has been around for decades and think they are a good company and make good products. No problems and very happy with purchase. Read more

As expected. No trouble whatsoever. Only flaw is that you can't run the timer and the microwave at the same time, but I'm not sure how you'd make that happen with a shared interface. Not so huge that it cramps my apartment kitchen. Read more

Do not buy this microwave. It arrived today. You cannot read the display panel - black on black with light grey printing that is almost impossible to see unless you put your nose right up to it -it's so dark. The door clangs closed even if you try to close it oh so gently. But inability to read the display panel has already nixed it for us. Long standing buyers of GE microwaves no longer. I can only imagine how difficult it will be to return this. Read more

I liked this microwave but it is noisy. Then after about 13 months of owning it the interior light went out and it can't be replaced. I've never seen a microwaves light go out before the microwave did. Rather annoying to not have simple replacement parts available to do it yourself. Read more
