So Easy. Practically sets up itself! I had some of the old 2.4 smart plugs, but these new ones connected so fast and easy, I'm going to get all new ones. The app also is very easy and self explanatory. No problem at all. I am now exploring their other products. I want them all! Get this, they are great! Read more

We have four lights that run on timers and one of those is on a plant ledge in our foyer. We do have a silk “plant” and a light on the ledge. The light was set to come on at 6 PM and go off at 11 PM. Hauling out the extension ladder to reach it was a real pain so over the years the time was a bit off and we never changed it for daylight savings time. We initially bought just one of the 2.4 GHz plugs to see how it would work. Tried it a couple days on an easy reach foyer lamp and liked it. Ordered a package of four the 5G plugs and programmed them all in about 15 minutes. They are all installed and while we haven’t had them long we are really pleased. Easy to program and no more needing the extension ladder for the ledge or crawling under tables to adjust the other three timers. The 2.4GHz plug will be used for the Christmas tree so no wasted purchase. Highly recommend. Read more

Finally (finally!) an affordable 4-pack of smart plugs. I purchased a set of competitor's smart plugs (rectangular design, not round/compact as these) a few years ago and while the timer mechanisms themselves were well designed, the interface software was horrificly complicated and confusing. The first thing I tried with this set was to put one in each of (4) rooms where we want the lights to come on when we are gone, and I tried to set up an `on' and `off' schedule which was difficult on the competitor's model that I had purchased. It was quite EASY. My only issue, and it was a time-wasting issue, is that the instructions focus most of their information on setting up Alexa or Siri. A nice bonus, but all I want it to do is turn my appliance on and off and it tested well at that - however, the requirement to download the "Gosund" app is deeply buried and I missed it even though I was looking for the correct app to download. They just reference "the App" which was a time-wasting problem. The "Gosund" reference needs to be prominent, front and center as the very tiny .05 print type instruction manuals that are included are already challenging to navigate. Aside from that I highly recommend this product for its ease and utility. Read more

I've bought different brands over the years. I really like the technology over-all. I bought these for my friend who just got an apartment. I tried to give her a couple of my older ones but they don't work with her wi-fi. PAY ATTENTION to the G! If your wi-fi is 5G only and you buy a 4G only plug...DON'T DO THAT! Now that we have that cleared up. I gave them to my friend, she plugged things in, downloaded the app, did a little of this-and-that and voila! Alexa recognized things and happiness rains down. HINT: When you name the plugs you might want to consider simple names. I use things like "Corner Light", "Floor Lamp", "Printer One". She used things like "Main Room Lamp on the Side Where I Keep My Files". Okay, maybe not that extreme, but she used something I can't remember. Even Alexa can't remember! Just a friendly FYI. Company is behind router technology on all other products. The annoying process to hook up 2.4 ghz only or rebook up 2.4 ghz only is cumbersome and speaks poorly for a Company whose one 5 ghz compatible product virtually connects itself before you take it outt of the box. I replace my 2.4 ghz only with the 5 and have lost. Capabilities lost due to refusal to update at all to industry standards amazes me. Read more

Works as described easy to find and set up the app and the account there for. Under 10 minutes and that was finding plug space more than anything else and it's now controlled by my Google home. You have to go to Google home app on your phone and add the g home account to it but Google takes it from there. Perfect O far Read more

I bought a box of the WP3-A model plugs. On the listing it says they are compatible with 5GHz WiFi. On the side of the box they came in it says they are compatible with 5GHz WiFi. The plugs connect to 2.4GHz WiFi and work fine, however my goal is to get my devices off that crowded network and onto the less-congested 5GHz WiFi space, and these plugs just won't work for that. There's literally no option in the app to even connect to a 5GHz network - it says right on the screen "Choose 2.4 GHz Wi-Fi network". There's no instructions, and nowhere in the poorly designed app could I find anywhere that would allow me to toggle to 5GHz. I've been back-and-forth with "customer service" for days, without success. Do they not even test their own products? How are these supposed to work on a 5GHz network when you literally cannot even select one from the network connections screen? Very frustrating. Read more

Great idea but the software needs to be improved to re-find the network automatically. Too often when there's an issue connecting to the local network, the device simply drops out and stops trying. If you're using if with Alexa, it doesn't stay as a know device. This means that any routines you've created that include any of these switches has to be edited to re-add the device. That's a HUGE pain in the butt. I reported this and suggested how they might modify their software given 40 years of experience with this "stuff." Hopefully one day they will, but it's less likely they'd provide a remote update. Read more
