I have a GE Profile Fridge and Freezer that is approx 5 years old. I've consistently replaced the filters with the OEM GE brand. After needing a replacement, I took a chance this time on the Glacier Fresh after seeing so many positive reviews. This worked perfectly! Fit very well, the fridge immediately sensed it upon installing, and the red light immediately turned off. The water tastes great to me and looked clear after I did the usual dumping of the water immediately after changing until the water ran clear. The water flow is strong, ice maker is functioning as expected. It's been a week since changing the filter and everything has been functioning perfectly. I got tired of paying for the name brand filter cartridges and thought I'd give these a try. They work as well as the name brand. The only thing I liked more about the other ones is that they came with month stickers so you could easily tell when it was replaced. At least my fridge notifies me a week before the recommended switch so no harm no foul. No regrets saving a few bucks. Read more
