Global Osaka 6 Piece Knife Block Set

Global knives are my favorite. One piece with amazing balance. This set is perfect with a knife for everything you could want and an attractive wooden block. As with any good knives, I would never dishwash them. They are hand wash only. I've had one global chef's knife for about 5 or 6 years and only had to sharpen it once. Great gift for a person who loves cooking or sharpening knives! The quality is outstanding, the shape and durability are perfect and the knives themselves are light and can cut paper like nothing! These were a gift for my husband. He’s mentioned Japanese made knives before and we both knew our current set of knives from a department store were just not cutting it (literally). We’re not master chefs by any means so I can’t speak to how they’d hold up to giant slabs of meat or harder to cut foods, but I think they’ll be perfect for our home kitchen. I had been looking at other brands, but appreciated that for the same price I was prepared to spend anyways, this came with a simple, yet beautiful knife block. The side are acrylic so you can see the blades. He favorite things about these knives are the fact that the handles and blades are all one piece, as well as them being razor sharp out of the box. They are not only well designed and gorgeous, but they’re very light, well balanced, and easy to hold and maneuver. I saw a review that complained about the handles being small. I don’t feel that’s the case. These knives fit both comfortably in my husbands hands, as well as my own. I highly recommend these, and I will only be buying this brand for the time being. Read more
