was so pleased to receive a dog toy that does what it is advertised to do (have had problems with dog-toy orders lately). he absolutely loves it! the texture, the cleverly-hidden squeaker, and the light-up feature that keeps flashing red awhile when it hits the floor. I see that it comes in random colors; he got the brown one that looks like a football. is the second day and still going strong (quite a feat for a 2yr old wildchild furbaby with little-man syndrome). will update when I see just how long it lasts... update - over 6 weeks now. the 'cleverly hidden' squeaker has been found and dealt with, but lights are still flashing. even tho squeaker is silenced, he still gets off on the sound of air rushing thru the leftover hole when squeezed :) Read more

The bells and whistles don't last but the ball does

These types of balls are my dog's favorite. They usually withstand his chewing with no problem. He would rather play fetch than chew on them. However, within about 15 minutes, the squeaker fell into the inside of the ball and quit working. The battery in the light began to fade within a day. Within 3 days it didn't work anymore. The ball is still intact and my dog still plays fetch with it. Read more

This is one of the lone surviving toys in our home. Nothing is Rottie proof. For some reason he loves to squeaks this repetitively as the light flashes! It's been a few weeks and still kicking. For the price I will keep buying these. One note: One of them didn't light up, but I returned it with no issue at all. I would recommend trying it. Joey destroyed the small soccer ball, and my husband was able to insert the lighting mechanism into a different ball, and it's blinking away!! Read more

These are NOT for dogs that are chewers!! Most importantly IF you buy them watch your dog closely while they have them. My 100lb Doberman crushed it in half with one bite. I didn’t know & he just needed stomach surgery to remove the light up stuff inside. Be careful! Read more

This is a cute toy and my dog did enjoy playing with it (for the one day it survived). But it's a lot smaller than I thought it was going to be (I admit I didn't look at the measurements) and it's not meant for aggressive chewers. Our dog is a 50 lb German Sheppard/pitbull/boxer mix. So he's definitely an aggressive chewer and needs something sturdier. Again, it's a cute toy and smaller dogs would probably enjoy it. Read more
