I had a single serve smoothie machine and I enjoyed that it was compact and didn’t take up much room on the counter. But I wanted to switch it up and have something that could make more than one serving at a time and was big enough to handle things like soups and sauces. This has a big 1500W motor with a max of 45,000 rpm. Its handles everything from fresh fruits and ice to broccoli soup. I like the options of using the preset speeds or the dial. The dial makes it easy to fluctuate between higher and lower speeds minimally effort. It also has a couple accessories that I find useful. The insert in the lid opening seconds as a measuring cup. I use it all the time for measuring and adding protein powder. There’s a tamper device that’s useful for pushing or rearranging larger items that aren’t getting incorporated into the mix. My main reason for purchasing this blender is that it’s capable of doing up to 2L (8 cups) at a time which is perfect for us when wanting to make smoothies for the whole family! Another reason was that its ’heavy duty’ and therefore can handle ice, nuts, grains, beans etc with ease! It sits nicely in the counter, has a dial for speed so you can get the right kind of consistency and we’ve found this great as we have also been using it to make soups and hummus. I'm a sucker for a fruit smoothy in the morning, but I've been using a bullet for years. Now that my kids want them too, I needed a full-sized blender so I can make 3-4 servings at a time. This is one powerful blender and does the job so much faster than what I was doing before. Its pretty tall so make sure it fits under your cupboard countertop. This is by far the most powerful blender I ever had and it is a big upgrade from the more individual sized ones I had in the past. I wanted something with a large capacity for blended meals for the kids and smoothies. This is nearly half a gallon and is allowing me to do just that. Besides the quick blend and multiple presets it has, I like very much the built in tamper. I make this thick cilantro jalapeño sauce and I often have to push the cilantro down and the tamper makes much easier to do that without having to open the top.
