Any sling bag needs to be kept within a certain weight limit to be comfortable and I try to keep this bag to 10 pounds or less. It will easily hold a 15" MacBook pro and iPad pro but will hurt like hell after 30 minutes or so. If you want to carry more than 10 lbs, go with the riftcore and save your shoulders. The shoulder strap is incredibly comfortable over the legacy maxpedition gear. The new Atlas system on the front replacing the traditional molle is super strong. I've got multiple CAP and DEP pouches that I constantly move from this bag to my riftcore bag and it's holding up exactly as expected. The YKK zippers are stiff at first but they soften up after a month or so of solid use. Read more

I bought this for work after using an old jansport from school, this bag changed my organization tremendously. Very comfortable to wear. It has plenty of loops for cords, pens, flashlights, etc. Lots of pockets as well for things like chargers. The tablet pouch fits my 11 inch iPad perfectly. (It would not fit a 12.9 inch just an fyi). Heavily recommend getting an add on pouch for the side too. I got an DEP pouch for mine. Read more

I have spent a number of hours researching and watching video reviews for EDC sling bags. The sling of the Adidas bag I was carrying was secretly ripping, and I realized I needed to bump up the quality and buy something that wasn't cheap and would fall apart if it had a little bit of weight in it. After a considerable amount of time invested in research, I settled on the Maxpedition Gridflux. Right off the bat, it is a quality-made, durably-constructed bag. You can't go wrong as far as that. It has a number of compartments, however, except for the main compartment, they're all small and I had trouble transitioning for a smaller bag to that one, because of the way it is designed. Because of that, I will have to occasionally carry 2 bags to accommodate everything I could carry before, which, fortunately, I will not have to do all the time. If it wouldn't have been for the quality, I would have sent it back; plus I hate to return stuff. But for now, I'll make it work, and when the time comes to get another, I guess I will have to spend more time researching to get something more conducive to my needs. Read more

Always looking for a better workday pack, I thought I'd give this one a shot and I'm very glad I did! It fits my Dell XPS-13 just fine, along with room for plenty of 8x11 paperwork. The replacement for the old school PALS webbing works great and looks a lot less "tacticool" , so it doesn't scare the "straights" at the office. The CCW compartment is essentially invisible when wearing the pack, but easily accessible when the pack is swung to the front... and large enough to carry a full sized 1911, but a little snug for something like an FNX-45T. Material and build quality is typical Maxpedition: Outstanding! Some folks balk at Maxpedition prices, but IMHO they're worth every penny and they hold up exceptionally well with time and hard use. I love everything about the layout of the compartments and the aesthetics of this bag, hover I took this bag for a 12 hour trip to Disney world with only a rain jacket and battery pack in it for most of the day (the bag itself is. I had incredible shoulder pain for the next two days. As a result of that trip I decided to switch to a Riftcore for better weight distribution. Despite the negative experience this bag is great as an office EDC bag if packed light. Read more

An amazing bag! I take it to work everyday and to the gym! I am a rigger for the army so I know good stitching and sewing techniques when I see them. I can say this bag has all the good things going for it. This bag is not huge! It is for the minimalist! Molly webbing is lazer cut and I noticed bar tac stitching all over the bag. I'm sure I would die before this bag does. Read more

I use this bag every day. I love it for my every day utilities but I must stress that it is a LIGHT LOAD bag. It gets uncomfortable quick if you have too much in it. But it is incredibly well made and I love the brand. I think I will be buying a Riftcore for my outdoor excursions. Read more
