This is very light but very stable. The magnet is strong. I have a MagSafe case on my iPad mini and it holds this just fine too. Worn folded up this is compact and very light and minimal. There rubber feet are nice. I’ve not found a use for hanging this off something with three little hook that comes out, personally. Read more
When I first unpacked this phone holder, I was wondering how something so simple could be priced so high? It took a few minutes for me to determine how this thing works, and how it’s made. First, the manufacturing tolerances are extreme high end. The construction reminds me of something designed and made for the aircraft industry. There is nothing sloppy, ill-fitting, or loose on this device. In fact, I believe everything someone could want in a desk-top phone holder has been incorporated into this product. The tripod folds up into a single unit about the size of two ball-point pens. The joints are strong and have indents to indicate proper positioning. Each of the three legs has a rubber foot. The business end of the device uses a magnet to hold the phone in place. If your phone doesn’t have a metal back, you’ll need a case that has a built-in “magnet holder." The unit accepts a 1/4 inch standard photo tripod mount, so you can mount the entire thing on a much larger tripod if you need to. The magnet is extremely strong. The manufacturer mentions N52 type magnets, which I’ve also seen in medical devices – used because they produce a lot of “pulling” power in a small physical size. The middle leg of the tripod has a built-in holder that allows the unit to hang off a door, fence, or other edge. Is it stable? In its recommended positions, yes. By adjusting the angle of the magnetic holder (ring), you can test the stability while making sure you’ve got the view you want. Overall, this is a great little device to hold and/or position your phone for desk-top use. It makes the perfect tripod for a talking-head video or for Zoom calls. Obviously, you can take it with you to use as a make-shift phone holder when outside, on a job site, or when you need to record video “selfies.” What about the price? Even with all the high-tech construction and quality, I feel it’s on the high side. It certainly does the job, but if it were priced at a mid-twenties price point, then we’re talking real value. Recommended - if you don’t mind the price. Read more

My wife and I found it very hard to use. Giving it 4 stars vs. maybe 2 or 3 since it might be our lack of understanding that did it. Read more
My friends tease my wife for being the "selfie queen". Not that she takes a bunch of pics of herself, but she's the one who always takes our group shots. She tilts her camera against a rock, hits the self timer, and then runs like a spaz to join our group. She gets great smiles out of us because we're all kind of laughing with/at her because the whole process is pretty goofy. Now I get a turn. Now I can use this tool to set up my phone, but instead of running like a goofball I can just use the camera trigger on my watch. This thing holds my phone's magnetic case just right, and it folds up into a small enough thing that I can just keep it in my pocket or my glovebox. I love it. Read more
I was skeptical at first, but this thing is great! It’s a bit pricey, but I’d say it’s worth it. The build quality is awesome, with both the structure and the motions feeling very high quality. It folds up into a compact flat shape that’s easy to fit in your bag or pocket (though I’d avoid having it in the same pocket as your phone because it might cause scratches), and transforms into a tiny tripod with a few quick motions. I find myself using this frequently; it outs the phone at a convenient height for using it on a desk, and feels surprisingly sturdy for something so light. I’ve also used it in its “selfie stick” mode to record things, as it’s more ergonomic than holding the phone on its own. Two functions that I’ve tried but haven’t used much are its ability to hang from ledges and be mounted on a larger tripod. Both of them work very well, but I don’t have much everyday use for them. Overall I definitely recommend this if you’ve been looking for a portable mount. I have a few like this, but this one is my new favorite. Read more
This magnetic pocket phone tripod offers a solid combination of portability, build quality, and functionality for mobile content creators. The CNC aluminum construction feels sturdy in hand while remaining extremely compact and lightweight making it easy to toss in a pocket or small bag. The magnetic mounting ring is strong and reliable, securing an iPhone quickly and with minimal fuss. For users with non-MagSafe phones, the included metal ring helps maintain compatibility. The fold-out legs lock into place firmly and the rubber pads at the base add non-slip stability when using it as a desktop tripod. The option to use it handheld makes it versatile for vlogging or quick shots on the go. It also includes practical extras like a cold shoe mount and a 1/4”-20 thread, which expands its use with lights or mics when needed. Overall this is a well-designed, ultra-portable tripod that covers a lot of ground for casual to semi-serious mobile creators. It’s a strong value pick for those who prioritize compactness without sacrificing core functionality. Read more
