I am impressed with the sound of this speaker. If you enjoy loud music you can certainly crank it up, but I listen at a lower volume and enjoy the sound. Even at lower volumes the audio has a full range including good bass, depending of course, on the quality of the audio file that you are playing. I use the paid version of Spotify which has higher quality than the free version and the sound is awesome. I’ve included a picture of the bottom of the speaker so that you can see the subwoofer speaker that faces straight down. If you crank your music up it will vibrate the floor so your neighbors may not appreciate this one, but if you don’t like your neighbors go for it! Just kidding. Don’t taunt your neighbors. I listen to a lot of jazz, Country music, Classic rock, and Indie rock and it all sounds great. There are no settings on this for sound quality but you can do that through your phone or whatever device you’re connected with. The speaker itself is quite simple. It’s either on or off. It has volume controls on it but I don’t use those as I use the ones on my phone. I like the fact that you can connect two different devices at the same time to the speaker therefore if you’re hanging out with friends, two people can control the music, very easily. I’ve had the speaker for a couple months and it gets daily use. I’m very happy with the sound and the cool look of it. People walk in the house and they immediately ask “What is that thing?” I’m not gonna say that it’s the quality of a super nice stereo system but it is fantastic for a Bluetooth speaker. I just always have it on and I can hear it throughout the house. I have a 950 square-foot ranch. Not a large house but it gives you an idea of the distance that the speaker sounds good at. Overall I highly recommend the speaker to anyone who enjoys great sounding music. It has a 360° sound pattern but it is not stereo. The specs say that it gives a stereo like effect but I don’t really hear that, but it doesn’t matter to me because I’m just listening to it as I walk around my house. I have included some pictures with my review. I hope this helps. I am reviewing the version three and I like it because the top on this one is sealed unlike the version two which had an open hole and tended to gather dust. This one does not have that open hole so no dust can get inside. You’ll be happy with this purchase. I paid $229 for mine and I see it has dropped even lower so it’s a pretty good value for the money. Read more

I have had this speaker now for over 4 years and it deserves a good review. This speaker goes above and beyond expectations! The lights, the sounds and even the fabric is still like new and still sounds crisp like the day I bought it. Totally great quality sounds and if your into frequency healing this is the speaker for you. Read more

Sound quality is "exceptional". It was easy to set-up. The plug is a standard US with 2 prongs. It really modern too. So much better than the boring bookshelf speakers. Best part, it pairs with your phone, you can select what you want to hear: music, videos sounds etc. and it will play, loud if you want! You can also adjust the volume from other rooms of your place. I love it. Update: After 2 weeks, this product (that I love) started skipping and popping when playing songs. Volume volume was not turned up loud. Very sad. Returning. Amazon is so helpful & made the return process very easy. Thank you Amazon. Read more

Against my better judgment, I had bought my wife a Bose revolver thing. I have never liked what Bose tries to pass off as good sound. No car, home, or bluetooth speaker the company makes is any good. Apparently they fool a lot of people into believing their speakers produce accurate musical sound. To end the onslaught of me having to endure the teenie, weird sounds from Bose, I purchased this Aura 3. Now I did not expect much other than it was not Bose. It couldn't possibly be worse. Mind you, three of my vehicles have 1500 watts or more sound systems that I have installed. Infinity and Harman Kardon systems in the vehicles didn't sound good enough for me to tolerate. My general go-to is two 15s, 3 way components and front sound stages with CDT Audio loudspeakers. Always apply way more power than necessary so that I can immerse myself and passengers in the music without suffering from dynamic compression of the sound by amplifiers that are too small and strained to their limit. I mention this to establish the fact that I do not compromise with my musical playback systems. I also cannot understand how the Aura 3 manages to produce the sound that it does. It is just so pleasant to hear music that my wife is playing, and we do not have nearly the same musical tastes by any means. I can appreciate the sound quality reproduction without even liking the artist. Not once have I walked by, like I always did with the little Bose toy, and have to turn down the Aura 3. I'll probably buy another one just because, because I tend to keep an inventory of fun speakers, drivers, amps, subs, etc. No one would be disappointed in the sound quality, bass reproduction or volume level the Aura 3 provides. Of course the portability is not great since it needs to be plugged in. The power cord is not super long so that does limit where you place it. The sound quality is superb for the size. And much better than the Aura 2. You can turn the lighting effects on and off, but they are quite mesmerizing and not too bright to be a distraction. No options to change how the lighting effects appear. One color (gray-Blue to my eyes) that just undulates back-and-forth on top of the base and is reflected in the see-through dome. Also, no need to buy a top cover as this particular speaker is completely enclosed (unlike the Soundsticks III Dome). The Bluetooth connectivity was without problems . Caveat: if you want to connect more than two devices, you need to “forget the device“ in your Bluetooth settings for that device and then add a new device. Highly recommend as a Bluetooth speaker that you have a place for which requires 360° great sound. Read more
