Had been using a haphazard set of mismatched, dull knives that I was incorrectly storing in a drawer. Decided to finally pull the trigger on this set of knives after an old dull knife slipped through cutting a bell pepper and caused the poor vegetable to catapult halfway across the room. The knife also slid across my finger, but luckily it was so dull I barely got a scratch. Well, this knife set arrived and I gotta say, what an upgrade. Love the completeness of the variety of blades that comes in this set, good for cutting meats, veggies, fish, taters, and for defending the house, in a pinch. The wood block they come with seems very chic and sturdy, and I appreciate the inclusion of the sharpening steel and the food scissors. These knives cut through bell peppers like butter. Which translates to less errant meat scraps falling to my dog and more even cuts for any food prep task. I’m so grateful! There’s also a helpful guide in the box with some basic details on knife care, from which I learned that keeping my old knives in the cupboard and running them through the dishwasher may not have been great ideas.
