We got these knives as a wedding present and they were the best gift we got. My husband is very picky about knives and really wanted us to get a good quality set and these have not disappointed. We have had them for going on 6 years and recommend them to all our friends and family. They are not dishwasher safe but they are easy to clean and have lasted us for so long. I would have gave it a 5, But one of the Santoku knifes must have made it through the edge beveling process. But not the sharpening process at the manufacturer. I bought them for my parents for Christmas. But it was an easy fix. I have a Work Sharp knife sharpener and cut it to the proper angle from Henckels and holy moly. It holds and edge extremely well the stainless is very hard so it took a while to cut it properly. Which is a good overall picture of how long they will last and hold their edge. It chops perfectly and all the knifes are very well balanced. The other 11 knife we got of the set. If you are not carefully you will hurt yourself. So watch the little ones.
