I played the binding of Isaac on my phone with this when I was in school very cool the buttons feel okay and the battery life is pretty good for about 4 hours. fits in my hand like two Gatorade bottle caps it functions. Read more
This is a really neat little controller, though for my hands it feels just a bit smaller than I was expecting (pic includes a US Quarter and AA Battery for scale). Full featured with every button except analogs and their L3/R3 clicks, this makes a great little portable controller for use on cellphones and tablets for portable gaming. My only complaint is how easy it is to power-on while it sits in your pocket. I think it needs a better "push to power-on" or perhaps a physical switch. I wouldn't fuss about it too much except if you have this connected to a phone, accidental button-pushes can make do weird things when you're using your phone and somehow it turns on and connects from your pocket. TlDR: Perfect for travel, using in bed, on the go, etc. I bought this to use it on my bed when I play retro games on andriod device. I did not have very high expectations because of how affordable the controller was. Oh my goodness, was i wrong. It's fast and easy to connect. It works on almost all the devices. The buttons feels so good! I almost want to use it as a fidget toy. The controller is actually very comfortable to use, very light and feels good in the hand. If I can, I would love to collect all the colors! Maybe I'll do a video review! Please send me some hehe. Read more
2.5 stars. This is a just an OK mini controller. Button feel is good, device has noticable rattle from R1 and 2 and L1 and 2. Pairing can be a bit of a pain, no clear on/off switch. When in Android mode can't map all buttons in emulators (drastic and Retroarch tested), The unit I was sent was defective and eventually stopped working altogether. Unscrewed six screws and had to reseat the battery on the back of the device to get it to work again. Thankfully that fixed it. I would have liked it more if I could have mapped all the buttons in Android. Lastly, there's no battery indicator and when it's low the device acts up/weird inputs without pressing anything. For what it does it's just fine. Not spectacular but functional. Standout features is the different pairing options, and button feel. I bought two controllers. One day, one of them stopped working, but I was sure it had power and wasn't just out of battery. I figured it had frozen and decided to find a way to reset it. After some research, I discovered there was a hole on the back, and by inserting a paperclip, I could press a hidden button inside to reset it. Sure enough, it worked. Apart from this experience, both controllers work well. Another interesting thing is that I bought a black one and a green one, but the small text on the label on the back of both says "purple." The media could not be loaded. (Update) After 2 days of use it has stopped charging, and will not turn on. Maybe I received a defective unit? I am pretty sad about this because it was so useful for me. I have tried using different outlets, charging cables, etc..., but no success in getting it working again. Original review: I got this to use keyboard shortcuts for drawing on my tablet. I use a surface pro 7 and Krita to draw. After changing the controller to keyboard mode, I had to rebind shortcuts in my drawing program, since I don't know how to remap the buttons on the controller itself. I made it so I can undo/redo, cut/copy/paste, resize brushes, select the brush tool, eyedropper, lasso, all sorts of useful things. I have only been using it for a day, but it is exactly what I wanted! Read more
Ok first off, I had to reset this right out of the box in order to get it to be detected by anything but after reset ... it was all good. It's a great little retro controller for all your older games that don't need analog sticks so packing this in your backpack with one of your Anbernic devices is a great little way to have some fun.
