This is a very nice curling iron, and the price can't be beat! I have had multiple brand curling irons. My criteria is a really hot temp, but also adjustable. This curing iron has a nice barrel, a good strong clamp which is super important to me. I am really happy with the quality and the extra silicone on areas that could be very hot making it more protective from burning. This is an easy to use curling iron. I have medium to shortish naturally curly hair so my use of a curling iron is for curling my hair which it works great for but also straitening, all in one movement. I use a curling iron to smooth my hair and I think for me this is a really important solution and works so well. This is a larger handle and a regular size barrel. This is the second time I've bought this curling iron. It curls well and leaves a professional look in addition to being easy to use. My last one lasted over ten years of daily use. It gets hot; really hot so be careful with this iron. I read some of the reviews and noted that the automatic shut-off can go haywire. I can attest that this is true because my last Ion died from that exact thing. It got to where it would shut off every time I'd put it down, but I did get my money out of it before that happened. Maybe Ion needs to look into that function. Still, I'd rather have that function than not because this iron gets so hot it can burn your house down if you accidently leave it on. With those ideas in mind, I did rebuy it because I believe it is overall a good and long-lasting product. The price is good for what you get. It's a professional iron. Read more

My old curling iron threw a spring so I decided I wanted a really good one. I ordered 3 different curling irons and each one I returned. Not hot enough, pulled my hair etc. so I decided to by my old curling iron. The ion and I love it as much as the old one. Has 4 heat settings, goes up to 450. Has auto shut off.
